What an unbelievable moment, Spirit have achieved something that never happened in CS:GO, a reverse sweep in an international LAN best-of-five!
They started the series slowly and were outclassed on the first two maps, only to come roaring back and dominate Virtus.pro on the next two.
Anubis was a back and forth fight that featured high drama, including a disconnect from David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan in a key round late in the map. Ultimately Spirit had a little more composure and firepower down the stretch!

Virtus.pro 12-12 Spirit
After a monumental comeback from 0-2 down in the series, Spirit were once again staring defeat in the face at 9-11 down on a bad buy.
Some fortune went their way in the form of David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan lagging out mid-round, but Spirit have done enough to force overtime.
Virtus.pro 11-10 Spirit
A full gun round up next, the stream went back live and Spirit got another round on the board.
Who knows how these disruptions and David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan's mid-round crash will have affected the result.
Virtus.pro 11-9 Spirit
The tech issues hitting the grand final are severe enough that the stream is no longer live, it has gone to a break while they attempt to fix the problems.
No information at all as to when the stream will be back.
Virtus.pro are literally two rounds from victory, but another tech issue has struck the BetBoom Dacha grand final. This time, Artem "ArtFr0st" Kharitonov disconnected mid-round. Fortunately, the round can be reset as no damage had occured.
Virtus.pro 11-9 Spirit
Oh dear, what a terrible moment for a technical issue to happen.
An absolutely key round as Spirit, on a sub-optimal buy, hit the B site. It looked like Virtus.pro were going to shut down the hit to get to match point, but David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan started lagging out on the site.
This allowed Spirit to get an extra frag, pull back, and win the round on the open A bombsite.
BetBoom Dacha, what an event, eh?
Virtus.pro 9-8 Spirit
It's all getting a bit hectic now, Spirit were in control after winning the pistol, only to throw a round to a bad buy, and now it's getting messy. Fights everywhere, people running around trying to make solo plays.
Could go either way here easily.
Virtus.pro 7-5 Spirit
Virtus.pro began their T half imperiously, looking like a force that was set to roll over the defense. Spirit grew into the half and started to dominate with their crossfires, staying away from aggressive CT pushes, helping haul them back toward parity.
Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev was vital in cracking open bombsites, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia vital in holding them down.
One half left, who will come out on top?
Virtus.pro 5-1 Spirit
Virtus.pro seem like they have screwed their heads firmly back on ahead of the decider of Anubis, they are back to being the slick and well-coordinated unit from the first two maps.
'Chaos' is not normally a word you associate with VP, but such is their coordination that they are thriving in chaotic moments. Check out a mental execute they ran in the clip below!
Virtus.pro 5-13 Spirit
Virtus.pro have completely disappeared in this series, and Spirit have taken full advantage.
It can't be a coincidence that David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan's performances have dropped off a cliff the last two maps, which has coincided with Virtus.pro's struggles.
Spirit, as mentioned previously, look confident and assertive, and they are winning every duel right now.
Will it be the first reverse sweep in a best-of-five on LAN? It never happened in GO, could it happen early in CS2?
