Krimbo signs multi-year extension with BIG

Karim "⁠Krimbo⁠" Moussa renewed his commitment to Germany's biggest team despite "many offers from top teams."

Krimbo has signed a multi-year contract extension with BIG, the German organization has announced.

In a press release, BIG's Chief Gaming Officer, Roman "⁠Roman R.⁠" Reinhardt, hailed the renewed commitment as "a crucial step in laying a strong foundation for a long-term and successful future."

Krimbo has been a crucial player for BIG in the past year. After making the move from his second stint with the academy lineup to the main team in 2022, the 21-year-old has risen to become the German side's best performer, averaging a 1.15 rating in 2023.

This has made Krimbo a target for other organizations, according to Reinhardt, who said that the youngster renewed his contract with BIG "despite many offers from top teams."

"I couldn't think of any other organization in the world where I can confide my loyalty and trust more than here in Berlin," Krimbo said in a statement. "I believe in what BIG have planned for me and the team in the future."

"We will experience both good and difficult times together, but in the end, their support and appreciation will always come first. That's why I'm proud to have extended my contract."

I think big does a really good job with team atmosphere and how they operate like a family. Probably fulfilling to play there and the players want to win with big, not just join a better team.

I just think its lovely to see how hes not chasing the money. The way Big is going it does seem that it has a bright future, with S1n & Prosus new talents. But I just don't want another tabseN, who used his whole potential just to build a semi t1 german team, instead of being one of the worlds best. I do think it's a cool philosophy that BIG has built, but man I just don't see this roster working in the immediate future. Krimbo just looks like mezii in fnatic, someone who is far too good to be in this team, and practically carrying them through everything. But also BIG now having mantuu is a huge upgrade over hyped, tabsen fragging slightly better nowadays is also a good sign. But then again, even if all factors unite, i don't see big beating teams such as Faze, Vitality or C9. And Krimbo has the skills to be on a world class team. Also about JDC, the dude is doing great in t2, but obviously wasn't good enough yet for t1 as we could see in Mouz. I think he is gonna need some time and might fit into BIG in the future, but I really doubt they would do any changes except maybe for a german awper to return to german calls, since big has a semi working roster at the moment that is building on the future.

That's not surprising. BIG is known for this family like environment and most players really appreciate this and also the trust and support they get from the org. I don't know if this will be the best decision career wise in terms of possible achievements, but he will likely earn good money and stay in a healthy team and environment, which is also pretty important.

With gob and Roman in the backround and tabsen as igl the perfect package to develope his Talent in his hombase and his language. He can still change in 2-3 years and is still under 25. Bad move from my point of view because he could be in a more successful team because he is so good but I respect the grind, the fact that he wants to stay in germany and in a national team to improve his scene. This is a good news for his teammates, that he is believing in this project, the team atmosphere must be great. you guys clearly have different vision on his future than he himself, clearly it's not about "becoming the best in the world any way possible" switching orgs like underwear. He is clearly very comfortable in BIG and wants to grow with them. :) And damn do we know if the chemistry will be the same in a different team, let alone if he will perform the same with other guys surrounding him? I like his decision and imo it was expected.
