BIG qualify for YaLLa Compass

The German side is the first to confirm its spot at the event in the UAE.

Krimbo put in work in the final with a 1.85 rating

BIG have punched their ticket to YaLLa Compass, the tournament set to take place in the United Arab Emirates on June 5-9 2024.

BIG started their qualifier run in the quarter-finals alongside three other invited teams, Aurora, BetBoom and 9INE, and all four made it past the teams coming from the group stage and proceeded to the semi-finals.

Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and his 9INE teammates took out BetBoom on one side of the bracket, while BIG, who had previously beaten Sprout, overcame Aurora 2-0.

The final between 9INE and BIG was to decide who would get a spot at YaLLa Compass, along with $12,500, and in the end it was the German-majority side who came out ahead on Overpass (13-11) and Vertigo (13-7).

Karim "Krimbo" Moussa made the difference for his team in the final, with +31 KDD and 103 ADR in the series, which was good for a 1.85 Rating when all was said and done.

Another qualifier for the $400,000 event will run in the Spring of 2024 with one spot up for grabs, and 10 teams will be invited, including one local hero invite set aside for a MENA team.

Ofc no one expects them to win Tier 1 Tournaments but its important for them to qual for the events so the younger players get experience

it'll never not baffle me that Krimbo is willingly choosing to stay with BIG. I just hope he at least considers moving out of BIG and into a different team in the distant future.
