gla1ve: "Negotiations were going on with some players and they're uncertain about their future"
gla1ve has entered an ENCE project that is at risk of falling apart before it can truly get going.

"I have no idea what the future looks like," gla1ve tells HLTV after ENCE suffered a crushing last-placed elimination from BLAST World Final.
His side nearly pulled off a miracle, coming back from 10-2 down on Ancient to secure a decider, but ENCE's lack of practice and cohesion came back to bite them as they failed to convert an 11-5 lead on Nuke into victory.

But with that defeat, ENCE now go into the break uncertain of what roster it will field on the other side of it, a process that has destabilized Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński's project since their arrival.
kuben, in an interview with BLAST.tv, has also spoken out there being "five different scenarios in terms of which lineup [ENCE] are going to end up with" as a lineup.
It's sad that it's happening now when I've joined the team," the Pole continued. "I would love to work with a group of people that are eager to play for the org and for this lineup, but it's not happening yet."
We spoke to gla1ve about the pressure these negotiations add, the loose style necessitated by a lack of practice, and how players "don't work just as hard individually" when their future is up in the air.
Quite a crazy match that you almost pulled off. You fell short in the end, what are your thoughts on the game?
Pretty tough Anubis in the beginning. We tried to change positions a little bit and it didn't really work out. We had a bit of a better T side against Apeks last time but this time around there were some clutches that we lost and Anubis is a little bit tough. Probably, we are both a bit out of the meta, and maybe not on the same page on the map.
On Ancient, it was tough in the beginning and came back on the CT side. Didn't really call a lot on the T side this time around, because we wanted to try a different approach because we didn't have much practice time. But it actually didn't work either (laughs).
On CT side we made the comeback and just took it round by round.
Things were a little bit awkward in the first half on Ancient. No one was talking, no one was communicating. How can you explain such a turnaround?
We tried to communicate, but I don't think we all understand the map, or see the map, in the same way. We didn't have a lot of practice time. And yeah, just not on the same page. That's how it is. On CT side we felt more comfortable and, all of a sudden, knew how they played and we also saw that they don't have the biggest stratbook either. So, we knew some of their strats and this kind of stuff, and it was easier.

The casters picked up on the fact that kuben said when you were down 5-0, that you guys like to play under pressure. Is that the case, does your team like it? Was the team, at one point, just not afraid of losing because you were down 10-1 at one point?
I have no idea, to be honest. I'm not sure how the other guys individually but for me it doesn't really matter if there's pressure or not. I just like to play CS. I like to win, and hate to lose. And that's what happened today. So yeah, bad day.
What can you say about the atmosphere in the team? Not just during the first stages of the match but also in the lead-up to the event, what is the mood like?
We tried to do as well as possible. They are some nice guys personally, we try to have as much fun as possible, but I think people are a bit uncertain about their futures, and that of course affects the team. We didn't really practice too much to be honest (chuckles) so of course that hurt us. But that's how it is. It's the end of the season. The other guys have been playing a lot, maybe feeling a little bit tired and all this kind of stuff. I understand it, and it is what it is. Now we will see about the future.

I also wanted to ask about those rumors, and the impact they may have had on the team. When did the alleged negotiations start happening, and did they have an impact in Finland?
Of course, it had an impact. We tried to do our best in Finland [at Elisa Masters Espoo] but we knew a lot of players were up for grabs in the future. So, right now, I still don't know what is going to happen. I can't say much, but negotiations were going on with some players and they are a bit uncertain about their future. And, of course, it affects the team because they probably don't work just as hard individually when you're a bit uncertain about the future. We tried everything we could, but this time around it wasn't enough.
What can you say from your point of view, just coming into a brand new team after so many years in Astralis. One of the most accomplished IGLs in the scene, you're coming in and then there's a possibility that a bunch of players are leaving. How are you taking that?
For me, it was kind of tough. I really wanted to find a team, and I think this team is really good. It has good individual players and good team spirit and these kinds of things. I talked to Snappi as well and he said they were really good guys. But, yeah of course it's a little bit sad that maybe one or maybe more will leave the team. I don't know yet. Kind of tough, but I knew when I signed the contract that it was possible that not everyone would stay. It's sad, I hope they will all stay, but we will see about the future.
If a rebuild is necessary, if you have to change one or more players, do you think you will be able to put together a competitive roster?
Of course. It depends on what players we get but if we get good players I think kuben and I can build a really good system to able to be succeed. So, hopefully, it will be really good and we are trying to get as good players as possible. A lot of people are under contract, and the roster lock for the Major or RMRs is really close, so we have to work really fast. We will try as much as possible and I have no idea what the future looks like.
