STYKO returns to Apeks on short-term deal

The Slovakian rifler has signed a contract until the conclusion of the Copenhagen Major.

STYKO returns to action after three months on the bench

Apeks have announced the return of Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk to their active roster. The Slovak will fill the void left by Damjan "⁠kyxsan⁠" Stoilkovski's departure to HEROIC and is set to stay a part of the team until the conclusion of the Copenhagen Major.

STYKO joined Apeks in January of 2022 and played over 400 maps under the organization before he was removed in favor of Ådne "⁠sense⁠" Fredriksen in October. His contract was set to expire at the end of 2023, but the organization has opted to re-sign the Slovakian rifler to secure their RMR spot for the upcoming Copenhagen Major.

STYKO was a part of their run at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, where he and his team reached the semi-finals. Since their Major run, Apeks have lost Justinas "⁠jL⁠" Lekavicius to Natus Vincere and kyxsan to HEROIC, and have now reinstated STYKO to the lineup to reunite the Paris Major core. Due to this, Apeks will receive a direct invitation to the PGL Major Copenhagen Europe RMR, slated to be played in February.

"We're glad to have STYKO rejoin our CS roster as we prepare for 2024 and the upcoming Copenhagen Major. His experience and professionalism are something that we value highly at Apeks, so we're happy to have such a good player back with us," said Anders Kjær, Apeks COO.

STYKO also expressed his enthusiasm about rejoining Apeks. "I'm excited to be back with Apeks and am eager to contribute my best towards our collective goal of making it to the Copenhagen Major."

Navi paid 1.75 million euros for jl- to get him from apeks. 2. Heroic paid 750k euros for kyxsan to get him from apeks. After jl- left to navi, kyxsan being a balkaner using his new influence in apeks brought in his buddy from the village, cacanito. Cacanito is secretely an albanian but that's distupted and he won't clarify. Now what i found hilllllllarious; Kyxsan brought in a subpar player, pug star wannabe gangster.
