Bravado sign poizon for Major qualifier

The Bulgarian AWPer is once again ready to man the big green after nearly 20 months since he was benched in fnatic.

South African side Bravado have announced the signing of Valentin "poizon" Vasilev as a stand-in, marking the Bulgarian's return to professional play after nearly a year on the sidelines.

poizon will take the place of Thomas "Spitfire" James Venables on the roster, who himself only recently replaced Aaron "SloWye" van der Walt after the latter retired from professional play.

Bravado have stated that poizon will participate in the team's attempt to qualify to the PGL Copenhagen Major via the Middle Eastern closed qualifier "and onwards, should both parties consider the venture a success."

"I'm delighted to have poizon stand in and to have him as a part of the team for the Major campaign," Bravado's founder and director, Dimitri "Detrony" Hadjipaschali, said in a statement. "I think the feeling is mutual of how this can benefit both parties."

After making his name with Windigo in Europe's tier two scene, poizon signed for Complexity in 2020 to become part of their ill-fated 'juggernaut' roster. He averaged a respectable 1.08 rating with the squad, but as a whole the team failed to live up to the lofty goals the organization set when signing the roster.

The making of a juggernaut - Complexity's plan to become a global force

poizon parted ways with Complexity at the end of 2021 after the team failed to qualify for the PGL Major Stockholm, joining fnatic early next year. His tenure with black and orange was brief, as he was benched after two months with the team.

Since the end of his fnatic stint poizon had struggled to find a new team, playing briefly for VOYVODA before going inactive for nearly a year.

Bravado are now:

Bulgaria Valentin "poizon" Vasilev (stand-in)
South Africa Marchahn "march" Smith
South Africa Wiljahne "wilj" Smith
South Africa Kian "Triton" Gibson
South Africa Johnathan "Doru" Fox

South Africa Danny "LaBishop" Hufton (coach)

There is a south african qualifier for the Middle East closed qualifier for the Asian RMR, so the servers wont be that bad. The closed qualifier is then going to be on lan iirc.

Yeah, rmr is the last stage before the major. It goes like: open quals -> closed quals -> rmrs -> 1st stage of major -> 2nd stage of major -> playoffs
