BLAST Premier Spring Groups teams, format, schedule, prizes, talent
The first LAN for top-flight teams in the 2024 season is right around the corner, here's everything you need to know.

BLAST Premier Spring Groups will kick off the 2024 season for many of the world's top teams in Copenhagen. The habitual Premier group stage has been expanded this time around, from its previous 12 teams to 16, and a group has been added.
It will also be an early litmus test to see how the off-season transfer market has affected many of the teams who took part in the last rostermania. Falcons, Liquid, and HEROIC are some of the teams that will show their new lineups on LAN for the first time.
Sadly, one of the most anticipated LAN debuts, that of Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov with Spirit, will be tainted as his young teammate Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, who has become a sensation since joining the Russian side, and Boris "magixx" Vorobiev will miss out on the group stage due to visa issues.

Participating teams and format
The BLAST Premier group stage has been streamlined with the addition of a fourth group. From a tedious group stage in which teams had to slog through redundant matches, including a knockout bracket, it will now be a simple double-elimination bracket.
The second seeds will even have to face off in high-stakes matches to qualify for the Spring Final, since only six slots are up for grabs. Four for each group's winners and two for two of the second-placed teams. The losers will be thrown down to the notoriously tough Showdown.
Opening matches and schedule
Interesting match-ups will abound from the get-go, with particular interest in the likes of Astralis vs. Falcons or Cloud9 vs. HEROIC to see how new lineups will fare after the winter break.
