Anonymo release roster

The Polish squad are looking for a new home after failing to progress out of the Major cycle open qualifiers.

sobol and co. joined Anonymo in May 2023 aiming at the first CS2 Major

Anonymo have parted ways with their lineup, saying that "with the difficult situation of the organization, we are no longer able to support the guys in their path of professional players."

The move comes after Anonymo reached the qualification matches in two of the four EU RMR open qualifiers but were eliminated by PERA and then OG to end their Major dream early.

They are the third Polish organization to post similar news in the last month, after AGO suspended esports operations and ThunderFlash released four of their players.

"Anonymo had one goal that we had to put our full focus on and that was obviously the first CS2 major," Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak said in a statement. "By qualifying to it we would revive the organization in every way. This goal, unfortunately, was not achieved."

He continued, "Many guys from our six-man roster turned down, in theory, the offers that were 'better' in terms of cash or even in terms of prestige, in order to continue building this project [...] hence we are aiming to stick together, and we are ready to talk with anyone who's willing to help us out."

Ex-Anonymo are:

Poland Dawid "lunAtic" Cieślak
Poland Kamil "reiko" Cegiełko
Poland Kamil "Sobol" Sobolewski
Poland Dawid "SaMey" Stańczak
Poland Karol "virtuoso" Wrześniewski

Poland Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak (coach)

its crazy how many t3 polish teams exist, but despite 9ine for a short amount of time, they barely put out any t1 talent. poland with NEO & golden5 always had top talent in 1.6 and early on in CSGO, but for many years now, nothing seems to stick around. mantu, mhl, hades, dycha, michu is around the best they have produced in over half a decade, thats insane. same with germany, but poland has at least an abundance of willing 5men stacks with 9ine, illuminar, ago, anonymo, wisla, honoris, pge, permitta, thunderflash and prolly more i forget. i just find it wild with such an active scene.

There are many great talents, but problem is that on polish scene we don't really have good org, that would take this scene to better place. Last real polish org was AGO in prime. The problem is with management and money, because when there was VP hype, money was distributed badly and now sponsors are withdrawing from CS. As for now, there is almost no oportunity to develop in Poland, just go to any international academy and prey they will develop you good enough.

Don't forget about ENCE now - biggest struggle of Polish teams past 5 years was complete of tier 1 IGLs. Right now you theoritically could compose T1 with siuhyy and couple of other players you've mentioned. Lack of funding to bring Polish talent playing in foreign teams and feuds/friendships cannot be omitted either. I don't think the same applies to Germany, you've had some gr8 lineups led by gob b and Tabsen

Excluding 9ine, since VP downfall of late 2017 and early 2018... We only had 1 team that had a good year of CS - that was Team Kinguin after TaZ joined them. - qualified to Minor - Won DreamHack Open - qualified in 1 year from like ESEA Main to Pro Leauge - Held spot in Pro Leauge 9 for Pro Leauge 10 - while being in rough group, with: 2019 Fnatic, 2019 HR and 2019 Optic We also had "Snax era" first gen Anonymo from early 2021, we still remember that whole drama of them beating NiP and device crying about 40% packet loss - and then drama that because of forced replay of singular map, Ano lost a game which they already won. TBH Polish CS was never that strong - last glimpse of proper Polish CS was during Kraków Major in 2017, VP doing reverse sweep to get into arena and then ending in top 4 - that was a great score for a team that almost anyone said will lose at start. But after that everything was just a straight down slop for them We can talk about 9ine in 2023 RMR where there made 3-0, beating G2 and Vitality but during Major they show nothing, they went out with like 0-3 or 1-3 score and after that we haven't seen really that.... 9ine magic we so wanted to see, one we saw at RMR. Since 2019/2020 we only had 3 Polish players really showing up what they can do on Tier 1 scene but outside of polish teams. That would be: - Dycha, from TaZ to Sprout and rest is history - Mantuu, the Original OG (face it, no roster of CS OG ever went soo high as the first OG CS rooster) and now in BiG - siuhy, from academy that dominated their scene to the major finalist and now leading mouz Someone would say "Michu" with his... ENVY era during covid or "Snax" now in GL.... but really they don't really show that much I would say that Michu now in IKLA shows more than Snax in GL xd

"TBH Polish CS was never that strong" early csgo years were good with vp being consistent top5 team and teams like vexed and ebattle going to majors

yeah Germany doesn't really have a cs scene I agree for Poland it's really weird, with so many orgs and players around one would think they produce better talent

I think it comes down to mentality too. It looks like many teams like to sit on salaries and play on their homesoil playground for X years then just to retire not achiving anything specific. Most polish talents are wasted due to being drowned in T2/3 mickey mouse leagues. You either aim high right away like some poles did (siuhy, dycha, hades) and go international or you pick polish soil, if you do the latter you will stay in this sh*tshow for the rest of your career xd

yes, can be some sort of this for sure. german/polish teams often isolate in national leagues while danish teams for example seem to aim more internationally, thats why they maybe have a better rate from t3 into t1.

Reiko will find a new home easily, samey and sobol might as well, lunatic's experience will always be needed somewhere - if not as a player then maybe a coach or analyst virtuoso tho might finally stop dragging 4 other players down

Bro, Anonymo obviously not a big org, and one of the players said qualifying would've "revived" the org. This means org probably about to shut down soon. They're probably even thankful the org took a chance on them, especially since they wanted to stick together and other orgs trying to poach some of their players. Gratitude my bro, gratitude..
