IKLA bench team as organization ceases operations

The Ukrainian organization cited cheaters in online qualifiers as the reason for their departure from the scene.

ex-NIP and fnatic player Lekr0 will now be on the hunt for a new home

IKLA have announced they are ceasing operations and transfer listing all of their players, with their last officials coming in the IEM Chengdu open qualifier. Their CEO, Maksym Bednarsky, stated they "will take pause until 2025 to reconsider a possible return to CS" should they "see positive changes" in the scene.

"We cannot invest hundreds of thousands (millions if needed) of dollars in a team when it’s just luck that decides if you will play vs. cheaters on online qualifiers or not," Bednarsky said.

IKLA recently competed in the PGL Major Copenhagen qualification circuit, during which they twice played PERA. Having beaten PERA in a seeding match in the open qualifier, they lost the rematch that took place in the closed qualifier, after which Vladyslav "⁠Kvem⁠" Korol uploaded a clip from the series to X/Twitter.

Flatron "⁠juanflatroo⁠" Halimi also made a post after recently losing out on an ESL Pro League spot to PERA as the climate surrounding cheating in online competitions heats up.

IKLA is home to two players who have previously featured in top teams, Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller and Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson, and were coached by veteran Mariusz "⁠Loord⁠" Cybulski.

Used to be, nowadays not so much. They’ve started to replace a lot of crucial metal parts in their furnitures with plastic parts in order to save money but they break fast.

Well this team didn't have any real potential anyway I feel like, but the drama with potential cheaters in online competition is kinda getting out of control, someone has to do something, it's never good when the game is losing organizations and investors. GL moving forward to IKLA players.

No, as far as I know PGL made an investigation, and found PERA clean. They actually record their games with a camera, so you can see the player movement and the game. It's the same always, when new teams/players come. If you watch cs long enough, you probably saw this 1000 times. ropz went to play fpl to faceit HQ, everyone said zywoo is cheating, or everyone was mad about sk/lg that they are cheating.

Thank you for the clarification. For me this is pretty weak evidence. Sure, he does not react to the guy peeking in two seperate rounds, but this could be easily explained by checking the radar for normal gameplay reasons. Tbf it be pretty hard to prove the use of radar hacks, so long it is not abused too obviously.

Accusations, insinuation without any sound evidence. Bence made a short interview with one of the Hungarian PERA guys after they qualified to EU RMR and the PERA guy mentioned that their coach broadcasted them during match trying to disperse all the suspicion. All players of PERA are well-known within the community.
