SK top EM Group B

SK Gaming have been assured of a place in the semi-finals with a 16-3 thrashing of compLexity.

After beating Na`Vi earlier in the competition, SK depended only on themselves to finish at the top of their group, and they managed to deliver as they comfortably moved past compLexity 16-3.

WeMade FOX, who made easy meat out of Meet Your Makers, beating them 16-1, only managed a third-place finish after watching Na`Vi claim a 16-9 success over Ravens.

The tournament will now advance to the relegation stage, where fnatic will take on WeMade FOX, whereas mousesports will meet Na`Vi.

All due respect to you Miraa, I think SK gaming taking 1st place is BS, Navi deserve better. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the round-differences was the no1 priority when deciding the team placing? Also, #60 post is pretty interesting, I think you(everybody) should take a look at it. I'm a little pissed of, I don't post often, but seeing this upset me a little bit. Competition is where ones compete with another with fairness and respect (whether it's sports or video games wise), and this clearly shown none of that.

dumb rules, if you are playing 30 rounds per match, u should first take a look at roud diference, if theres a TIE between POINTS and RD, u should look at who won between this two teams

You play 30 rounds and the point of that is to have the best round difference and overall score But when the the bigger organisations such as SK doesn't come out on top they change it. Fucking hypocrites, money rules... This entire scene is a fucking joke tbh

You should get a fucking clue, they happen to win a game, so? It could have just been the other way around, but this is EXACTLY what happens when the most influential organisation don't come out on top There have never been a tournament in this game without complications, just shows how incompetent this scene and the ones involved are, both players and organizers. But then again, your'e a skfanlol, so why bother?

This would've been the SAME if teams were reversed. The rule was decided before they even started to play... I don't know why you're starting a conspiracy bullshit about a team having more influence... Na'Vi had to beat SK and didn't. Given the win, they'd be first. Simple as that. Refer to post #116.

Ehhh... no. "3.20 Ranking The Ranking is primarily decided with regards to the number of points that a participant has amassed during the season. A participant will earn 3 points for winning a match, and 1 point for drawing a match. The below ranking priority will come into effect if 2 or more teams are on equal points. • Points amassed between the participants themselves ('Mini-League') • Round/map-difference between the participants ('Mini-League') " Directly out of the Season 4 Rule book. Notice "Points amassed between the participants themselves". SK won their match against Na'Vi, meaning they got 3 points, and Na'Vi got 0. Also notice that round difference is not prioritized first. It's not strange, it's not weird at all. It's standard.

Unbiased Swedes like Arke didn't agree on this lame results as well. :) It should be determine by points > RD > who beat who It's very simple. 1)Team with most points will be on top. 2)If two or more teams are tied on points, it should be determined by Round Difference (RD) 3)If two teams are tied on points and RD, it should be determined by the match outcome of the two said teams. 4) If two teams are tied on points, RD, and the match between the two teams, a replay match should be played as decider.

Then what? Only two teams are tied in points, therefore you check direct confrontation, it's common practice, get over it.

it is correct, when 2 teams have the same points the rule is direct confrontation, when three have the same points it is by round difference.

maybe for this event but for example in soccer, in a league or something RD (it's not really RD but you know what I mean) determines which team gets the upper hand when they have the same amount of points. this applies to other sports as well of course

Bullshit, all soccer tournaments and cups (excluding leagues, but IEM isn't a league, it's a cup) prioritize points obtained in games played between the teams in question, and not just points obtained overall. This system has been used throughout the IEM season and has been in practice several times.

Still that doesn`t make it the correct one. I mean, why the hell play all 30 rounds if there is no freaking point.. Just a waste of time. And that is why I hate ESL and their rules, mother-ucking hypocrites that only care about money. Those are the people tearing apart this game and all that is stands for. DESTROY THEM!

Why is it so outrageous now that this favors SK instead of Na'Vi ? What if Na'Vi had beaten SK but had a lower RD ? Would this debate even take place ?

Tomorrow Fnatic will destroy WeMadeFox Navi have very good team / Edward and starix - perfect Aimers, such as Guxx and Neo / markeloff - great awp / Zeus - nice captain / Esenin - perfect help player. So Navi will win mouz 2-1 by maps

SK is strong now with their new player and they will at least go to the finals. They will win in a bo3 against wmf, for sure.

Honestly, SK looked anything but strong against WMF on nuke. Sure that they afterwards smashed coL but still this line-up just as the previous one(s) shows some irregular matches.

1 bad match in 5 shows some irregular matches? Can't agree with that :f

I am not referring to this competition only but in general when referring to irregular matches thus 1 out of 5 is acceptable to me as irregular match. To me the match on nuke versus WMF looked like somehow a "bracket", especially when watching the team play again much more fluent against coL. And I do not expect that sort of "bracket" from a considered top team ;)

Sk did some stupid small mistakes during their game vs WMF as Navi vs Sk) But rules are rules and i only wonder what the point of 30 rounds in this case (only rare situations when 3 teams have equal points or two teams have a draw in their personal fight)). Really think that Navi played with some fear and poor decions as T tactic-wise and that is the point of their lose

wow, regardless of who you go for, EVERY MAJOR COMP uses this format POINTS then HEAD TO HEAD then ROUNDS FOR AND AGAINST (WCG / ESWC / KODE5 / DREAMHACK / EM) in the case of a 2 way tie, of course Head to Head is the way to go, if its out of SK and NaVi who really cares how much you smashed col by. When it becomes a 3 way tie, you have to use rounds, because often its scissors paper rock thing, A beats B B beats C C beats A A 3 way tie is the only reason why competitions use full 30 rounds. HEAD to HEAD IS ALWAYS the preferred option.
