The Russian coach is on the market after three months with Aurora.

hooch took Aurora to their highest placing in the world ranking

Aurora has announced that coach Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov has been transfer-listed. The Russian skipper had been on the team's books since November 8, and helped them reach their highest position in the world ranking during his tenure.

hooch's move to the transfer list keeps Aurora on an unstable path as he is the second coach after Viacheslav "⁠innersh1ne⁠" Britvin to last only three months standing behind the squad. The starting five itself is also in a state of flux, as Ivan "⁠SELLTER⁠" Miroshnikov was moved to the bench in January.

The Russian team peaked in 23rd place on the world ranking under the orders of hooch, but failed to hit a big target, the Major, bombing out of the PGL Major Copenhagen Europe RMR closed qualifier in last place with three straight losses.

hooch first proved himself as a coach with Entropiq after his playing career, and brought an unknown squad from obscurity to participation at the first post-pandemic Major in 2021. At the beginning of 2023, the 36-year-old made the move to 1win until the release of CS2, after which he moved to Aurora.

If Hooch had coached Gambit instead of Kane they'd have done more than just win Krakow. They'd have been an actual top 5 team. So if the opportunity didn't come about then, now is the time. Replace Groove who has fumbled what should be a top 5 team and bring it home.
