9 Pandas oust 3DMAX from Europe RMR

9 Pandas have advanced to the 2-2 pool at the Europe RMR A tournament following a 2-1 win over 3DMAX. With the victory, the Russians have secured themselves a place in the final round of the Swiss stage set to be played on Saturday, where they will play for a spot at PGL Major Copenhagen.

Meanwhile, the only non-Vitality French representatives in the Major qualifiers, 3DMAX, are another team to bite the dust in Bucharest. They finished the Swiss stage with a single win over Into the Breach and losses to Falcons, KOI and 9 Pandas.

Their Major hopes were shattered after they couldn't convert their hard-earned series lead on Nuke against 9 Pandas, where they finally found success in their third attempt in Bucharest.

9 Pandas responded with brute force on Overpass, where a 9-3 offensive half guaranteed the series would go to the deciding Ancient. There, 3DMAX got off to a good start on the CT side but then faltered up against a tough 9 Pandas defense, only winning one round throughout the half.

Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin's team still await their opponent in the next round. AMKAL, Eternal Fire and fnatic currently sit in the 2-2 pool alongside them, and they will be joined by the loser of NAVI vs. BetBoom and the winner of Enterprise vs. SAW.
