Preasy stay alive in RMR after PERA victory

The two lowest-ranked teams in attendance of the Europe RMR, PERA and Nexus, have exited the event in joint-last place.

Preasy survived day two in Bucharest, Romania after winning their 0-2 pool match against PERA with a 2-1 map score. The Danes will next face off against Guild Eagles in another elimination bout, set to take place on Wednesday at 18:00 .

PERA have been eliminated from the tournament in joint-last place after having previously suffered one-sided defeats at the hands of Cloud9 and GamerLegion.

This time around the Hungarian-majority side looked more competitive to start as they converted their Anubis pick against Preasy in the elimination series with Danil "⁠Porya⁠" Poryadin, Áron "⁠Aaron⁠" Homoki and Brajan "⁠DGL⁠" Lemecha forming a hard-hitting trio, but they couldn't keep that form in the rest of the series.

Preasy mustered a response on Vertigo off of a flying start on the Terrorist side and a second-round forcebuy win on the defense, where the Danes kept control of Ramp all throughout the second half to contain PERA.

An even more dominant showing on Nuke followed. The Danes were left unanswered for the first 11 rounds on the defense as PERA looked out of answers and lost the two opportunities they had to get on the board to clutches from Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali. Their successful upper rush in the final round only served to save them the humiliation of a 0-13 finish, and Preasy quickly ended their misery.

Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen and company now head into their next match against Guild Eagles as favorites. They will have the luxury of the Kosovar team's best map, Mirage, being their ban, and that Preasy's most successful map, Inferno, is one the Eagles have played the least out of the remaining six.
