IEM4 World Ch'ship day 3 & 4 stats recap

We decided to wait until after the semi-finals to bring you an update of the stats from Intel Extreme Masters IV World Championship, since not much had changed after the relegation matches yesterday. However, with 4 new maps today, we can get some interesting insight going into the Grand Final.

Na`Vi and fnatic showed that perhaps having a day off isn't the best recipe for getting to the final, as they defeated both of the group-winners in their semi-final matches. Of the two finalists, the Ukrainians take the top spot in the ranking, although their rating has slightly decreased compared to the group stage, while the 2nd placed fnatic's has increased, meaning they are improving as the event progresses. SK find themselves in 3rd place, with a significant drop in their rating after the heavy defeat today.

Na`Vi have managed to win another 7 out of 10 pistol rounds during the playoff, and after having the same record in the group stage, they remain the best at the event in that category.

Fnatic's only defeat so far came on de_train, which seems to be Na`Vi's strongest map, as their record on it, despite running into some trouble against EG today, is now 3-0. On the other hand, fnatic's de_inferno seems very solid with the same record, and they might be looking to repeat mouz's success over Na`Vi on that map. Meanwhile, EG continued playing no more than two different maps, although not with the same results as earlier.

Top two rated players come from the Ukrainian team Na`Vi, as we have Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev at number one and Yegor "markeloff" Markelov as second-best. Sukhariev is so far the Top Fragger, Top Rifler and Top Pistol Round Player of the tournament, and has managed to keep his excellent form throughout the playoffs, holding the top KPR (0.86). Even though Markelov's overall fragging has slightly dropped, the same cannot be said about his tournament-best DPR (0.47), and his continued dominating with the AWP as he now has 113 kills with the big green, 42 more than second-best Danny "fRoD" Montaner (although, his awpKPR is 0.40 compared to Montaner's 0.35), which is all but ensuring his title of the Top AWP of the event. Fnatic's two mad-fraggers share the third place, Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, with Lindberg climbing the table after a few great performances in the playoffs, especially versus SK on de_inferno. SK's brightest stars in this tournament, Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl and Johan "face" Klasson have dropped some points in their rating, but still remain high following their debacle in the semis.
