BLAST announce Spring Showdown talent

A seven person team will grace the broadcast as 16 teams fight for two Spring Final spots.

BanKs will undertake hosting duties

BLAST has announced the talent lineup for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, set to take place March 6-10, which will pit a plethora of top teams against each other with two berths at the Spring Finals in London on the line.

The event will be Harry "⁠JustHarry⁠" Russell and Hugo "⁠Hugo⁠" Byron's second broadcast of the year, after the duo missed BLAST Spring Groups and the PGL Major Copenhagen RMR cycle. Conner "⁠Scrawny⁠" Girvan and Mohan "⁠launders⁠" Govindasamy will also undertake casting duties, whilst Jason "⁠moses⁠" O'Toole joins James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks and Lucas "⁠Bubzkji⁠" Andersen on the desk.

There are plenty of fascinating stories to follow at the Spring Showdown, with two being particularly headline-grabbing. The first is the debut of Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev in a Falcons jersey as he returns to competitive play after a short break, and the other is the campaign of Danil "⁠donk⁠" Kryshkovets and Spirit, who showed signs of mortality at the recent Europe RMR despite qualifying for the Major with a 3-1 record.

Banks is one dimensional when doing stage presentation and overacts too much. When doing interviews you can feel how fake he is. Missing Tech Girl here, she's witty and provocative, she brings out more from the other talent. Has a great accent and isn't shy when speaking. Freya not being here is good, she repeats what she says way too often. She also is monotone and doesn't have a presenter voice. Maniac not being here is also good, he rambles on and on about world building for these games. Missing Pimp, I have some gripes with him but the guy is provocative and has good insights.
