Nouns and Elevate sent packing as Legacy and ODDIK enter 1-1 pool
Two more North American teams have been sent home following the end of day two.

Legacy and ODDIK have picked up their first win at the Americas RMR after defeating Nouns and Elevate, respectively, keeping their Major qualification hopes alive for at least another day.
The elimination series between Nouns and Legacy kicked off on Vertigo, the North Americans’ map pick, though it was the Brazilians who came out the brighter of the two sides. Nouns began to find their footing in the game once they had money to work with, and they managed to go the break with a narrow 7-5 lead thanks to a quad kill from Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly in the 10th round.
Things looked promising for Legacy after the side switch as they retook the lead after a 4-1 run, but it all fell apart from there. With Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado leading the charge in B anchor duties, the North American team won five rounds in a row to put the game to bed.
Next up was Overpass, where Legacy came out looking like a different team. They were in control for the vast majority of the first half and cruised to an 8-2 lead before Nouns responded with two in a row. The North Americans’ comeback hopes were quickly dashed, however, as they were unable to post a single round on the offense.
The third map, Inferno, was dominated by Bruno "latto" Rebelatto, who racked up 23 frags on the CT side as Legacy cruised to a 10-2 lead. The game seemed like a foregone conclusion after the Brazilians won the ensuing pistol, but Nouns refused to surrender and began clawing away at the deficit, led by Paytyn "junior" Johnson. But the AWPer’s efforts wouldn’t be enough as the North American team fell in the 20th round following a triple kill from latto.

In the other elimination match, João "matios" Guedes shined as ODDIK moved past Elevate, also in a close three-map series. The 22-year-old, formerly of B4 and Sharks, posted a joint-high 1.58 rating as ODDIK ran out 13-11 winners on Anubis, the opening map of the series.
Elevate responded on Ancient after fending off ODDIK's comeback attempt from 1-8 down, and they looked primed to win Overpass as well after a 9-3 CT half. However, they could only muster one round on the offense as ODDIK went on a stunning 10-1 run, with matios ending the map with a stunning 31 frags.
