paiN book PGL Major Copenhagen tickets over ODDIK
biguzera's troops lost just ten rounds in the decider clash.

paiN became the third Brazilian team to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen after defeating ODDIK in a two-map series (Inferno 13-3, Vertigo 13-7).
"Inferno is not about tactics but about confidence, so I just told them to be confident ahead of the game," said Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt in a post-match interview about the first map of the series, where they secured a flawless 12-0 CT half.
This is the third Major appearance for the organization, which last appeared at the Paris Major with a completely different roster. Only long-time member biguzera remains from that iteration and is now surrounded by younger teammates who have all, bar Lucas "nqz" Soares, just qualified for their first Major.
"I always said we will for sure qualify for the Major, but they didn't imagine it. They are good players, but also very young, so we needed to give them some confidence," said biguzera about the pre-match preparation.
paiN's had an all-Brazilian road to the Major. They beat Legacy OCE and RED Canids to make the 2-0 pool, where they got demolished by Imperial. They bounced back from the loss well by breezing past ODDIK in the 2-1 pool, however, and became the third Americas team in Copenhagen.

The series started with Lucas "lux" Meneghini getting an ace, which set the precedent for the rest of Inferno. paiN racked up 12 rounds in a flawless display on the CT side, and while ODDIK won the second-half pistol to avoid a 13-0, they could only put up three rounds before dropping the map.
paiN's T side on their pick of Vertigo got them a healthy lead despite Gabriel "ponter" Amaral's best efforts. The 23-year-old put up 119 ADR in the first half but couldn't help his team secure more than five rounds. Once the sides switched, so did the game's momentum, and paiN won six out of the eight CT rounds to punch in their ticket to the PGL Major Copenhagen.
