Spirit complete BLAST Spring Final team list
chopper and company finished their Showdown run with a win over Metizport, despite a loss on Vertigo.

Spirit have become the eighth and final team to qualify for BLAST Premier Spring Final after defeating Metizport 2-1 (Vertigo 8-13, Mirage 13-4, Nuke 13-8).
The world No.3 team dropped to the online Showdown after being forced to use Oleg "baz" Kulynych and coach Sergey "hally" Shavaev in Spring Groups due to via issues, but even as other favorites faltered, Spirit resisted successive underdogs to book their last-minute tickets to London.

Metizport's underdog run ends here, after the young Swedes eliminated Monte and Falcons to put themselves on the map.
The series started well for Erik "ztr" Gustafsson's side, as they looked to exploit an increasingly clear Spirit weakness on Vertigo. Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, anchoring B, was under sufficient pressure to deny his usual multi-kills, while Boris "magixx" Vorobiev struggled as his Middle player with a 3-15 K-D as Metizport ran away 13-8 victors on their map pick.
"We had a bad start, losing a 3vs1 in the pistol after I team-killed magixx," reflected donk to James "BanKs" Banks post-match. "Especially with new spawns going down 0-3 is bad, T side is much stronger. I don't think the map is a problem, we just need more practice."
It's Spirit's second loss in four on the 51st floor, after losing to MOUZ at the RMR, and their form has been questioned as donk's average rating has dropped from 1.49 to a more mortal 1.22 over the last three months.
Spirit, even with donk relatively quiet in the gun rounds, looked back to their best on Mirage, with Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia finding huge impact and Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov backing up the Ukrainian for a 9-3 T side. Converting the second pistol ensured the decider of Nuke would follow promptly.
And once again, Spirit stunned Metizport with the pace of their T side. Upper hits energised donk as he scored several multi-kills sprinting out of Door, with the Swedes at a loss on how to prevent executes ending the round early. Confident again, donk was dominant in defaults as well as he punished Linus "nilo" Bergman Outside for another nine-round T half.
Metizport won five rounds in a row from 3-12 down even as donk continued his tirade, but the mountain was too big to climb, and Spirit secured the 13-8 and 2-1 victory to qualify for the Spring Final.
