The Swedish organization will build a new roster after a transition period.

GODSENT's players have been released

GODSENT have announced that they have parted ways with their Counter-Strike roster with immediate effect. The news comes after the team’s main sponsor canceled the partnership following the qualifiers for PGL Major Copenhagen, creating “a significant deficit” in the Swedish organization’s budget.

On X/Twitter, GODSENT explained they have so far failed in their efforts to find a new partner to replace Coolbet, which had been the organization’s headline sponsor since April 2023.

According to GODSENT, the loss of the sponsor “put a lot of pressure on the players” and impacted their performances. The team is currently ranked 141st in the world, a drop of nearly 100 places since the start of the year, and won just 20 percent of the matches it played in the last three months.

GODSENT returned to their roots in January 2023 and signed a Swedish roster featuring the former NIP trio of Erik "⁠ztr⁠" Gustafsson, William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin and Nicolas "⁠Plopski⁠" Gonzalez Zamora. The team peaked at No.43 in the rankings in April of that year, but two months later, only two of the initial players remained in the starting lineup.

After a series of changes, GODSENT ended 2023 just inside the top 50 in the rankings. However, results tailed off after the turn of the year, and the team struggled domestically as EYEBALLERS, Alliance, Young Ninjas and Metizport took the spotlight in Sweden.

Contacted by HLTV, Sean "⁠eraa⁠" Knutsson said there is a chance the team will not stick together as the players are exploring individual offers. "But we are open to suggestions and if you are interested in us, don't hesitate to contact us or GODSENT."

GODSENT ended their statement by pledging to continue to support Swedish Counter-Strike. They will build a new team featuring talent from the southern area of Sweden as part of the organization's long-term plan, with a foundation anchored in their "culture and competitive vision."

I am a bit known on HLTV for using unconventional labels on players regarding their skill, i've been watching and playing since 2014, and in those 10 years, i have only seen 14 players who i would label as "crack" which is the word i use for the players who have exceptional mechanical skill, genetically, and can produce the best gameplay rendered in counter-strike. Lekr0, is my number 8 , he's above ZywOo and device, he's one of the most skilled and impressive players i have ever seen in my life, the idea that Sweden is going to leave him behind just because he is turning 31 this april seems absolute fucking insane to me, Lekr0 is a player who should be massively admired in Sweden , honestly i wouldnt even want him to igl, i saw his IKLA rmr fiasco and he was still a total crack, 3 rounds on Overpass vs Heroic is all these shitters in IKLA got, all on the back of Lekr0 , first a classic lekr0 deagle on conn t side , then a clutch and then a massive entry.
