PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Opening StageMajor Round 1 ends with Legacy beating FURIA
The upsets continue at the Major as FURIA were on the losing end of a Brazilian derby.
The first round of PGL Major Copenhagen's Opening Stage has come to an end, with Legacy entering the 1-0 pool.
The Brazilian team added to what was already an upset-filled Round 1 as they defeated fellow countrymen FURIA in a close Ancient game that went to overtime.
A solid performance from Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato was not enough, as FURIA looked toothless on the offense after taking a 7-5 lead in the first half. As the game wore on and with the pressure building, the trash-talk became more intense. FURIA kept their composure despite some uncharacteristic errors and came back from 10-12 down to force overtime, but their efforts were in vain as Legacy won four in a row to lock down the map.
