TheMongolz through to Elimination Stage at the expense of Legacy
The Mongolian side completed the reverse sweep from a 0-2 start on the first day to a 3-2 finish on the last, and earned an extra spot for Asia at the next Major.

The MongolZ brought back a terrible 0-2 start at the Major's Opening Stage into a 3-2 finish to secure a spot in the next stage. All they needed, it turns out, was best-of-threes. The two map losses to Eternal Fire and ECSTATIC were followed by victories over AMKAL, Lynn Vision and now, Legacy.
The lonely Asian representatives after defeating Lynn Vision in the 1-2 elimination stage will now fight for their region in the top 16 of the Major. One accolade they have already achieved no matter what happens next is that they have unlocked a spot for APAC at the next Major. The region will now have at least one spot at the Opening Stage and, were The MongolZ able to make it to the playoffs, it could even become a spot straight into the Elimination Stage.
The APAC region last had more than two spots at StarLadder Major Berlin, in 2019, when Renegades, Grayhound and TYLOO were present. In regards to Asia proper, this is the first time a team makes it to the top 16 of a Major since TYLOO, with Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand and Kevin "xccurate" Susanto on the roster, did it for the first time at the FACEIT Major in London.
Legacy drew first blood on Ancient, a risky pick by The MongolZ as they picked into one of the better maps in the Brazilian team’s pool. Ayush "mzinho" Batbold stepped up to the play early on with a quad-kill in a 2vs4 situation to keep his team’s economy in check early on, taking a 5-3 lead.
After a tied half, 6-6, mzinho again was the difference-maker with a flashy 1vs2 clutch, his second of the match, to get on 19 kills. The youngster kept delivering play after play as he and Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren killed all five Ts in an A retake to secure map point, which was then converted in the following to finish it 13-9.

Anubis didn’t go much better for the Brazilians, who straight from the gate gave up an anti-eco after winning the first pistol round. From there on out Legacy needed to go big on the defense, as their T sides have been sorely lacking so far at the Major, but they actually dragged behind at the half, 5-7.
The MongolZ won back-to-back 2vs3 to put Legacy on their knees early on the second half. From there on out it was smooth sailing, as Marcelo "coldzera" David and company were only able to get one single round before being dealt the death blow.
