MOUZ and Vitality secure round 2 wins in Copenhagen

Both teams had to triumph in tough battles to claim their victories.

MOUZ have secured a spot in the 2-0 pool at PGL Copenhagen Major thanks to their close 13-11 victory over Eternal Fire, whilst Vitality had to recover from a poor first half to enter the 1-1 pool with a 13-9 win over The MongolZ.

Both MOUZ and Eternal Fire have showed decent form on the first day of their Major journey and fittingly they were neck and neck on Vertigo, MOUZ's victory came down to a few special individual moments.

Vitality meanwhile have been thoroughly out of sorts and they almost went 0-2 after a poor first half against The MongolZ, but a strong offensive half bailed them out when they needed it.

In one of the most fascinating matchups thus far in the Elimination Stage, MOUZ had to show resilience to fend off a late Eternal Fire comeback on Vertigo. The first half was split down the middle, Eternal Fire running out to a lead on offense with repeated slow A crawls before MOUZ adjusted and brought the score back to even.

MOUZ picked up two key swing rounds to run out to match point on their offensive effort, Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek winning a 1v3 clutch in the pistol before his team flipped a 3v5 later in the half, only for Eternal Fire to start to come back. It took another powerful individual moment, this time a lurk through middle by Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman, to clinch the final round and avoid overtime.

Meanwhile over on the B stream Vitality struggled badly on the defensive half of Nuke. The MongolZ seemed well prepared for their Nuke T side and put pressure on Vitality by finding timings and gaps regularly, and the Mongolians also won several clutches to ensure a 7-5 half.

Vitality went on a tear to start their own T side, picking up five rounds in a row to settle their nerves. The MongolZ bagged another clutch win to get on the board, but it was all for naught as Vitality picked up the three rounds needed to avoid another upset loss.
