FaZe cruise past Complexity to earn playoff berth

FaZe have battled through shaky form to make the playoffs, whilst Complexity collapsed after starting the Elimination Stage 2-0.

FaZe were looking more like their best selves against Complexity

FaZe have ensured the top-ranked team in the world will be present in the Royal Arena by strolling past Complexity 2-0, claiming wins on Nuke (13-6) and Overpass (13-6).

Complexity began the Elimination Stage in fine fashion, racing out to a 2-0 record whilst displaying admirable resilience in an overtime win over HEROIC. That resilience abandoned them in series play however, as the North Americans slipped to meek defeats against MOUZ and FaZe where they could easily have made things closer and couldn't get past a Vitality well short of their best.

Their fragile mentality has always been Complexity's biggest problem, and that fact reared its ugly head once again during this Major campaign. Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski was carrying hard in their opening games only to disappear in their losses, the team couldn't find a way to clinch the key swing rounds that would have changed their fortunes, and the entire squad waned against MOUZ and FaZe as the pressure mounted.

FaZe meanwhile have managed to muddle their way through an Elimination Stage campaign during which they were short of their best. Even in their previous win against Imperial FaZe were wobbly and Finn "karrigan" Andersen was not thrilled with their level, but today against Complexity they were back to something like their best.

Helvijs "broky" Saukants and David "frozen" Čerňanský stepped up in a big way to ensure the fragging was taken care of, whilst karrigan had the read on Complexity throughout the entire series. There is still work to be done if they are to seriously challenge for the Major title, but FaZe are heading in the right direction.

Nuke served as FaZe's pick in the series, and their offensive half proved why they are confident in the map. frozen started in red-hot form as FaZe raced out to a 7-5 lead, and although Complexity mounted a late-half comeback, it was merely cosmetic. FaZe won a force-buy to redeem a lost second-half pistol, and comfortably strolled to a 13-6 victory.

Overpass was so very similar to the Overpass Complexity played against MOUZ. The NA squad were losing rounds in the first half that were close and could have gone either way, and seemed to crumble after they couldn't get any of them on the board. It didn't help that karrigan was calling a clean game, and FaZe duly cleaned up a 13-6 victory to claim a playoff berth.

I BELIEVE: Twistzz want to back to FaZe, some FaZe executive see this as good move and take karrigan's place as firepowered IGL Just my prediction, but it would make sense since karrigan basically let everybody do what they want, which we see in games as every FaZe player solo push different times, which mean almost zero teamplay

Crazy L take. there is a reason karrigan keep taking teams to the very top ! he is great igl and has showed it time and time again. Being a good igl isnt just on the server, its off the server aswell. + you need a guy who can sacrifice himself without thinking about stats.

Do you even remember how "successful" was karrigan's FaZe before ropz joined? Yeah, they were bad. Same as karrigan in mouz. Also he got kicked from Astralis, after that Astralis started to play 100x better and Astralis' Era started and lasted for years. Starting to see pattern / formula?

Every time (he gets kicked)? How many times you think he have been "kicked" from FaZe? Remember Astralis case and ropz case and you see reality. Its like taking red tablet in Matrix. Revolution in understanding CS lineups after that.

are you kidding me? faze had no deal winning any tournaments with washed olof/washed coldzera and bad rain in 2021, yet they did better than teams like gambit after the online era and nafany's c9 (teams with incredible players, ax1le and sh1ro both top 3 players) also he was replaced in astralis and they were pretty much at the same level except for choking as much all the way until they got magisk (astralis & the teams before were god damn good already) also also, you have the balls to talk about karrigan's mouz? a team like that has no business winning tournaments and they did. talking about faze from 2022-now, the team that shattered navi's possible era by making their own, the team that has been in finals on all tournaments they have played in cs2 so far. they aren't the best fragging team to be able to achieve that, so where is g2's era when they have 2 top 3 players? why did g2 even FAIL to qualify to a major? where are vitality's wins against actual teams to win big tournaments? they're constantly failing, they can't do it. I'm definitely interested to see how your team stands if donk gets off his alien level, or if sh1ro and donk suddenly have bad games against a top team like faze... I imagine they'll lose against a "B game" faze if that happens

The COL Legends spot belonged to Furia. Well, Furia was 3-0 and COL 3-1. Fate would never let COL advance to the next stage.

Faze had an easy run in the end - while they lost against the stronger teams. It’s not very convincing to be honest but congrats

You are right, but FaZe got best individual players if we forgot karrigan and Donk. FaZe got worst teamplay along top50 teams, just each FaZe player solo pushes different time than other teammates, but their superior individual skills give them 6 / 6 in all previous Pro CS2 tournament Grand Finals which they won half. Nobody come even close to their achievements in CS2, but it have nothing to do with their terrible teamplay, its have everything to do with their superior individual skills
