The Russian team will take part in the $350,000 online competition after the Americas giants opted to attend another event.

BetBoom have been invited to compete in Skyesports Masters 2024, the tournament organizer has confirmed to HLTV. The Russian team will fill the void created by the withdrawal of Liquid, who have accepted an invitation to attend IEM Chengdu.

BetBoom were picked as Liquid's replacement after finishing runners-up to FORZE in Skyesports Masters' European Closed Qualifier. It was the team's first tournament since picking up former Spirit Academy talent Kirill "⁠Magnojez⁠" Rodnov, who averaged a team-high 1.22 rating in the qualifier.

The 2024 edition of the Skyesports Masters will be held between April 8-14 (the same dates as IEM Chengdu), with $350,000 on offer.

Originally planned as a LAN event in India, it has shifted to an online format because of the country's upcoming general elections, which have made it "extremely challenging to obtain the necessary approvals for hosting a large-scale on-ground event," according to Skyesports.

With BetBoom's invitation, only one slot is left to fill. It will go to the winner of the Indian closed qualifier, which is scheduled for March 28-31.

That's only announced. They could very well have full roster for all we know. Or still testing players to make final decision

gamerlegion, mongolz, heroic, saw and many others would be by far a better choice than current 3player NIP, regardless if they already have the last two remaining players. With not even 14 days left, there's not enough time for NIP to put a proper structure and hours to be at the level of the teams I already mentioned. Hence why a wasted spot.

You couldn't possibly make a guess of the level Saw would show on major when invites were sent back in February (well, they did beat NiP at RMR then already, but still), Heroic play Chengdu at the same time. Mongolz and GL is fair I guess.
