El1an open to EU and CIS offers after Asia sojourn

The Russian AWPer is ready to return to a higher level of competition after a brief stint with JiJieHao.

El1an played at the Asia RMR with JiJieHao

Former Winstrike and Entropiq AWPer Aleksei "⁠El1an⁠" Gusev has announced that he is open to offers from European and CIS teams after nearly three months competing in Asian tournaments with JiJieHao.

El1an joined JiJieHao at the start of the year together with Adel "⁠Remind⁠" Guermassi after the Chinese organization failed to come to agreements with Kristers "⁠keen⁠" Dārznieks and James "⁠SaVage⁠" Savage.

He helped the team to come through the Middle East qualifiers for the Asia RMR, with JiJieHao finishing the event in Shanghai in 5th-6th place after losing to TYLOO and Grayhound.

"It was an interesting and really fun experience to play in Asia," El1an wrote on X. "But I want to continue in Europe/CIS."

El1an will hope to reignite a career that has stalled in the last 18 months. 2021 was the best year of his career as he averaged a 1.21 rating as part of the Winstrike/Entropiq roster that notably reached the Legends Stage of PGL Major Stockholm and finished in second place at the V4 Future Sports Festival.

His time with Entropiq came to an end in September 2022, when he was put on the transfer list after a run of poor results. In 2023, his spells with K23 and FORZE didn't last more than a few months.

JiJieHao have not yet announced a replacement for El1an. The Chinese organization is also in need of a new coach after Evgeny "⁠bullet⁠" Batkin stepped down from the role on March 25.

With these departures, JiJieHao now have:

ye RMR abuser JiJieHao disbanded its team again and idk who would want an actual washed up has-been. Or better question, how did this guy go from top 20 material to this disaster in just 2-3 years.

Never top 20 material, when entropiq were knocking on the doors on tier 1 cs, el1an was notorious for disappearing against even top 20 teams.

I like the general idea of trying to make a decent team that could qualify to the major via the Middle East, but they never stick together long enough to do anything.

they dont stick cause they have the minimum amount of middle eastern players to make the slot and put in random EU players in hopes it will get them sticker money, thats it

Yes, that is exactly it. I'm just saying that the premise of a team with a Middle Eastern core that could be competitive is good. It has to be more than a fly-by-night team though.

honestly yeah, if we got a team like this one playing together for a year and then trying to qualif - they'd have a chance over a Lynn Vision or now with more slots it'd be even easier

Jijiehao is strange Chinese esports orgnization that like to form non-Chinese squad. They had formed one israeli squad in 2022. They recently bought the best VALORANT squad in Oceania, and taking part in Chinese secondary cups with another Chinese squad. As APAC having 3 berthes to Shanghai Major, it might not disband. (By the way, SaVage had been free agent due to collapse of Sprout)

Their Israeli squad was pretty decent and got third place in the Asia RMR for Rio. Now BluePho3nix is playing for Young Ninjas and the other two Israeli players are playing on NOM. I was not aware of any of their exploits in VALORANT though. It also looks like they have a League of Legends team. I'm not sure what you are trying to say in your parentheses, JiJieHao had SaVage on their squad before he went to Sprout.

What his agent have to do with that? He's prolly only negotiating contract etc., he's not asking other teams if they want him or smth and at the end - it was el1an's decision
