ash extends contract with GamerLegion

The British coach signed a multi-year extension to remain at the helm of GamerLegion.

ash has extended his GamerLegion contract

GamerLegion has announced a multi-year contract extension with Ashley "⁠ash⁠" Battye, the team's long-standing coach. "I'm delighted to extend with GamerLegion for a third time," ash stated. "It's been a great almost four-year journey. Now it's about building towards our next step together."

The British tactician has been with GamerLegion since the summer of 2020 and oversaw their breakout tournament at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, where they made it all the way to the final. Since then, the team lost Mihai "⁠iM⁠" Ivan and Kamil "⁠siuhy⁠" Szkaradek to higher-ranked squads and hasn't repeated previous success.

GamerLegion made it to the Challenger Stage at the Copenhagen Major after a last-minute invite, but their achievement wasn't enough to keep the team together as they removed Nicolas "⁠Keoz⁠" Dgus and Frederik "⁠acoR⁠" Gyldstrand after the event.

Former Endpoint sniper Henrich "⁠sl3nd⁠" Hevesi and academy player Andreas "⁠aNdu⁠" Maasing are currently filling the roster's vacancies, although the organization has not made their additions official.

GamerLegion announce Keoz benching

GamerLegion's next outing will come in the Thunderpick World Championship EU Closed Qualifier 1, where they are set to meet MOUZ NXT in the Round of 16.
