ESL Pro League Season 19ZywOo carries Vitality past BetBoom to claim EPL playoff berth
ZywOo was in prime form as Vitality quickly put BetBoom to the sword.
Vitality have earned themselves an ESL Pro League Season 19 playoff spot thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win over BetBoom, sealing the deal with victories on Mirage (13-4) and Anubis (13-9).
A seeding match against The MongolZ now awaits Vitality in the upper bracket, which will decide who goes straight to the quarter-finals, whilst BetBoom will hope to avoid the Last Chance Stage when they take on Falcons in the lower bracket.

After starting the tournament with a shaky performance on Vertigo against Sharks, Vitality have cleaned up their game and strolled confidently into the playoffs, in no small part due to the vastly improved form of Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut.
The French AWPer was out of sorts at PGL Major Copenhagen, due in part to suffering from illness according to his teammates, but a strong showing against Sharks (1.46 rating) and an absolute demolition job against BetBoom (2.15 rating) suggest ZywOo is back to his best.
"At the end of the Major I could feel I was really tired, so not going to Chengdu was such a good call from us," opined Dan "apEX" Madesclaire in a post-game interview on the broadcast after beating BetBoom, with the Frenchman saying that not only did his team get some rest, but some vital time to prepare for the rest of the season.
If this series against BetBoom is anything to go by, apEX certainly has a point. His team dominated Mirage with ease as all his players were firing on all cylinders, and a proactive CT approach on Anubis garnered a strong first-half lead that was relatively simple to convert.
