MOUZ and Liquid lock in EPL playoff berths
The teams will face each other for a spot in the quarter-finals.

The second day of ESL Pro League Season 19 Group C and D had it all: Blowout wins for some of the favorites, a near-upset, highlights aplenty from Liquid vs. Monte, and two 13-0s, one of which featured FURIA getting blown out on their own map pick to get sent down to the Last Chance Stage.

MOUZ trounced GamerLegion 13-1 on Nuke to start the first qualifying series, but took their time converting a lead on their own Mirage pick, requiring overtime to secure a berth to the playoffs.
Liquid, on the other side of Group C's bracket, also locked in a playoff spot after a 2-0 victory, but were made to work for it by Monte.
Slow starts on both Ancient and Mirage meant Liquid needed triple overtime on the former map and all 24 rounds on the latter to close out the game, but the extra rounds meant we got plenty of highlights from an in-form Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and some vintage clutches from Casper "cadiaN" Møller in the series.
Despite the win, Liquid continued to show signs of shakiness and miscommunication, and there were plenty of team flashes that made that evident on Mirage. MOUZ, on the other hand, remain one of the most difficult opponents for teams in group stages, and thus Liquid will face a tough challenge against them in the upper final of Group C where a direct berth to the quarter-finals is up for grabs.

In the lower bracket, ENCE's form remained questionable after a poor showing in their opening game, with the team winning Bad News Kangaroos' Vertigo pick only to go down 1-8 on Nuke and eventually lose the map.
Some confidence was likely restored for Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's side on the Anubis decider, where the Polish-majority team handed their Australian opponents an excruciating 13-0 defeat, but shaky performances to a far lower-ranked team still leave questions regarding the long-term competitiveness of this ENCE roster.

FURIA were the biggest disappointment of the day as they fell to a FORZE lineup cobbled together with stand-ins just for Pro League, a loss that included a 0-13 defeat on the Brazilian team's pick of Overpass.
Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato ended the day boasting a 1.36 rating over the five maps his team has played at Pro League, with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo the next highest at 0.91 and FURIA Academy stand-in/temporary promotee Kayke "kye" Bertolucci struggling immensely to adapt to pro-level competition with a 0.62.

North American team BOSS gave BIG a run for their money earlier in the day, but couldn't convert advantages on Ancient and Vertigo, ultimately costing them the series and allowing Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz's side to clinch a 2-0 win. PGL Major Copenhagen champions Natus Vincere, on the other hand, gave FlyQuest no chance at an upset and comfortably advanced in Group D.
