The organization has pulled the plug on their latest project after four months.

anarkez's Secret peaked at No. 96 in the world rankings

Secret have announced the release of their Counter-Strike roster, with the players all entering free agency after a period of lackluster results.

The European organization left Counter-Strike at the end of 2020 after releasing its roster that featured the likes of Guy "⁠anarkez⁠" Trachtman and Dionis "⁠sinnopsyy⁠" Budeci before re-entering the space at the beginning of 2024 by signing another European roster led by the Israeli AWPer.

Secret return to Counter-Strike ahead of Major qualifiers

The team began the year by failing to progress through the RMR open qualifiers and continued to fall short after that, suffering early exits at A1 Gaming League Season 8 and European Pro League Season 14.

Secret then enacted two roster changes by bringing in Filipe "⁠NOPEEJ⁠" Dias and coach Gustavo "⁠Juve⁠" Alexandre, but results didn't pick up, with the team unable to return to the top 100 in the world rankings.

The following players are now free agents:

Vladan "⁠Kind0⁠" Mandic
Sebastian "⁠Tauson⁠" Tauson Lindelof
Filipe "⁠NOPEEJ⁠" Dias

I think that's the main reason why organisations have all of a sudden created cs teams. Not for results or hoping to qualify for a major event, but to have a chance of being selected by the saudi

No one is really surprised... If they kept up a core of Maze, Kind0 and anarkez and get 2 decent guys maybe they would atleast be competitve in Tier3... But unlucky... projects like this are meant to fail and lose money for the org. I bet this is another org. gone from CS atleast for now.

I like your idea of change the afro to an anarkez. Because afro is good player with avg. rating 1.10 but anarkez has better rating and more aggressive play style,correct me if i'm writing wrong

Incredible contribution towards the CS scene! It's only their second time releasing an EU mix after a few months and failing to make it to the major in order to collect sticker money. We need more orgs like these

Reminder to all the people complaining about recent major changes, this keeps happening because you can just sign a roster 3 days before open quals for the major and hope you luck out for some stickers, now you actually have to commit if you want to sign a team so we dont have to deal with so many grifters

So they slapped a team together for a sticker money grab, failed and bailed. Most new teams have to go through a building process with several changes over time before they find a strong combination. I'm not sure why so many orgs bother throwing a team together for a 5 month stint.

it's sad to see well established orgs like secret do this. they sure have enough experience to get a better project going. but... they partnered with stake in december, maybe they got gambling-inspiration from this partnership. sticker gamble failed.
