The Serbian player will not return with G2 in the second half of 2024.

nexa raised one trophy during his time on the team

G2 have announced that Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković is being removed from the starting lineup. The 27-year-old had been a fixture of the team since he joined from OG in November 2023.

nexa was brought on as a supportive element for the start trio of Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač, Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač and Ilya "⁠m0NESY⁠" Osipov, but in the end could not hold on to a place in the starting five.

The Serbian rifler was a part of the team that won G2's only trophy of the first half of 2024, IEM Dallas, a tournament that Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen missed and where NiKo took over the IGL mantle with Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip as a stand-in.

Even then, ending the event with a 0.85 rating put him in the crosshairs and now, after a 0.81-rated BLAST Premier Fall Finals to end the season, nexa has been cast aside.

In their announcement, G2 stated that they are currently in the process of helping nexa find a new team. The player himself also chimed in, saying that he is open to offers in any role.

You can't get rid of Hooxi without getting an IGL, and there are no good options right now. Unless you take the AWP away from cadiaN? But at that point it might be better to just keep Hooxi anyway And no, NiKo can't be the IGL, that's an experiment that has failed many times already

Just because he wants to, doesn't mean he is fit enough to do so. I have seen him failing many times and even in IEM Dallas, he may have done most of the calling, but it wasn't his IGL system that won them the whole event. Other factors include: - Hooxi stepping in to assist head-coach them - Monesy telling NiKo he doesn't need to IGL midround when NiKo dies - NiKo doesn't have a proper structure to IGL. I would love if he wants to be a secondary caller, but no. I rather he focus on his fragging capabilities - Stewie able to find his comfortability mid-tournament because NiKo original plan was "stewie go here and die, don't worry about anything else" Seriously as a G2 fan, please do not make it any worst than it can be at the moment...

'without Nexa G2 loses to Falcons and never even makes it to the stage in Dallas' he did have some nice clutches, but he also had a 0.87 rating that match(went 11-14) while m0nesy had a 1.79(!!) rating going 27-14. saying they lose to falcons without nexa isn't necessarily true, could just as well have been, 'without nexa G2 beat Falcons 13-5 instead of 13-10'

Hunter is not in the top 1%, but he's definitely better than the average pro player. I don't mind having him in a support/2nd fragger role at all. Hooxi needs to asap. I'm surprised they even kicked Nexa before Hooxi.

Imho both Hooxi and Nexa are so far below the level we expect a pro player to have that they don't even deserve the honor to be ranked. I'm just glad to see G2 had the balls to solve the first half of the problem before the end of the year. I hope they finish up the job before 2025 rolls around so they can have some time to train and look strong for next year's major.

in game is like 5% of the IGL's job using hooxi's system they win. G2 dont rely on hooxi and im not even a hooxi fan, but they win when niko and/or monesy kill everyone. my point is that morons like you that know nothing about cs scream at hooxi's shit stats, if he was there for stats he wouldnt be on the roster anymore. the team clearly agree with his ideas and believe them. hooxi is nowhere near any of the great IGLs. Stewie as a replacement is a terrible idea

Being a bad player is not excusable just because "he's the IGL". Being the IGL doesn't come with a carte-blanche that excuses making constant, obvious mistakes. There's plenty of other IGLs that would be a much better fit for a team with G2's playstyle. The truth is, Hooxi is a bad player and true G2 fans want him next on the chopping block.

stop comparing him to one of the goats. besides, karrigan has a lot more experience than hooxi on this level. karrigan used to be shit with a riffle when he began his new stint with faze. it got a lot better over the last couple of years and comes with being comfortable with his team mates, comfort in map picks, playbook and so on.

tabseN is one of the best fragging IGL, he has way higher stats than almost any other t1 IGL. tabseN: 1.03 apEX: 1.01 siuhy: 0.98 chopper: 0.96 karrigan: 0.90 Hooxi: 0.88 This is how majority of his games looks like: hltv.org/stats/matches/105537/fnatic-vs-.. His "star" teammates are are not STARRING at all. He's way too good for German bots but he prefers to stick with BIG to make a lot of money and keep German community support on his side. If he actually wanted to take a risk to win some trophies then he'd join G2 or some other org but clearly he prefers consistent high revenue and stability over glory. G2 -nexa -Hooxi +malbsMd +tabseN would make the team actually unstoppable. Niko and m0NESY wouldn't have to play 1v9 every game just to barely win.

Krimbo and JDC are definitely doing their jobs for their roles, Tabsen was long the best player on BIG in the past, not the case anymore, prosus is not a star player and he might get cut if they find a replacement but let's be real the only "star" TabseN is out consistently out fragging is SyrsoN, which is fair, he has been a huge disappointment since his reintroduction. Also, he turned down offers to IGL on FaZe while NiKo was on his prolonged temporary IGL stint there so he's had a similar offer to be NiKo's IGL before and turned it down

tabseN would NEVER leave BIG. People have been trying for years. I wish they tried gla1ve. He calls based on what his teammates want to do in a round unlike say, Aleksib. Why are HLTV people so obsessed with role changes. BROTHER, HE IS INSANE ENTRY FRAGGER, IF HE CAN HAVE HIGH STATS WHILE DOING ENTRY, THEN HOW WILL ANCHORING RUIN HIM WHEN IT'S WAY EASIER ROLE. If you're good on entry role then any other role (except awp) should not be a problem. Otherwise you're role abuser and a fraud, but i've never heard any "entry" abuser players so far and doing good on entry means you'll do good no matter the circumstances because you're mechanically competent. nexa's only quality was that he used to be an IGL with somewhat decent fragging, and he removed that one quality he had by refusing to play an IGL role. Now he is left with nothing to offer... what a messed up clown car roster s1mple hasn't proven that he can rifle in CS2. in CS2 s1mple has not done *anything*, he was bad as awper in pro CS2 and he is bad as rifler in online pug CS2. there's no path from that directly into a tier 1 roster, that's absurd. I want to see him back in pro CS but realistically he has to either - grind online hard to prove he has the motivation for tier 1 again and maybe a tier 1 org will pick him up directly or - say bye bye to his tier 1 salary finally and join a tier 2 team for a while to prove himself the old fashioned way. maybe even just awp again since that's his natural role after so many years.

G2 team is built around monesy, even Niko is playing around monesy and filling the gaps when monesy is calling a round or a play around him. I do not think team can be built more around someone as much as G2 did around monesy, and for a good reason, he's insane and they have good understanding of him. Only way monesy underperforms is when he's sick, or when he's cockblocked by visa and spends 2 days traveling just to jump directly into the map
