exotic island stunned k1ck eSports Club, winning XLPARTY with a 16-13 victory.

The twelfth edition of XLPARTY, one of the biggest LAN parties in Portugal, took place this weekend in Pombal, near Leiria, with some of the country's strongest teams in attendance.

k1ck, who recently added Tiago "weapoN" Pacheco to their line-up, were highly favoured to win the competition, but fell short twice, with the Portuguese giants complaining of lack of sportsmanship from exotic.

HLTV.org understands that k1ck and exotic agreed to postpone the Upper Final as Helder "coachi" Sancho found himself unable to play at the scheduled hour. However, exotic later claimed they were in a hurry, forcing k1ck to use a stand-in for their Brazilian-born captain.

Winning the Upper Final gave exotic the advantage as they needed to win just one map to conquer XLPARTY. In the Grand Final, played this afternoon, they managed to keep their cool, winning the match 16-14 after being up 12-3 at half time.

k1ck and exotic will both be present at EPT 2010 in Guimaraes next weekend, which will hand out over $3,000.

Just for the record coachi playd in the final. The only time K1CK played whit a stand in was wend coachi came to lisbon to see the Benfica vs. Braga Soccer game.

well defs won almost everything in 2008 and k1ck won everything in 2009 and dnc(k1ck mix) won against exotic so ofc k1ck are number 1 but you cant always win it gets boring.after this tournament k1ck will rape exotic

The lack of sportsmanship was when exotic first PROMISED k1ck that they'd postpone the game and then suddenly they claimed they were in a hurry so they had to start the game.

finally k1ck get beated.. i think counter strike portuguese teams are desfavoreced coz most of the players think that k1ck are the only team abble to go on the lead. exotic show us all that portuguese cs isnt synonimous of k1ck and we have awsome players out there who dont are known due to the low importance of CS here in this country... wtv GG exotic
