oXmoze drop drizzer complaint
oXmoze have decided to drop their complaint against YoYoTech recruit Benjamin "drizzer" Charnet.
The French organisation had decided to request a one-month ban to Charnet after the player breached his contract with the organisation to join YoYoTech on Saturday.
Upon meeting with the YoYoTech management, oXmoze have decided to drop their request, though they still believe the player was at fault on this matter.
"The problem now is not that drizzer left, but that he did not come to us three weeks ago when he thought he had problems with the line-up," oXmoze chief Romain "uNk" Tixier told HLTV.org. "If he had done so, we could have told him that he could leave, but he did not, and he is contracted to the club and not to the other players.
"Since his fault was not so bad, just a communication error, we have decided to stop our request and let drizzer be free."
Tixier has justified oXmoze's handling of the affair, stressing it is crucial that contracts are respected so that esports can be taken seriously.
"The most important point for us is not drizzer or YoYoTech. We are not angry at them. Our move was made for one thing: LAN ALLIANCE wants to be our federation, so they have to be involved in club/player relationship," he added.
"They must defend players from being stolen by bad organisations, and protect organisations against players who can't stay in the same place for more than two weeks.
"To be a federation is not only about organising LAN events and national cups, it's also about ruling the scene and being a mediator. Our move was made to help the French community be aware what a scene implies and what it really means to be a pro."
oXmoze and YoYoTech will both attend Gamers Assembly in Poitiers next weekend.
