hardzao was at RED Canids for nine months

RED Canids have benched Wesley "⁠hardzao⁠" Lopes and made the rifler available for transfer, the Brazilian organization has announced.

The squad, headlined by Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David, also released coach João "⁠righi⁠" Righi on July 15 ahead of the second season kicking off.

hardzao joined RED Canids alongside Gabriel "⁠nython⁠" Lino and Carlos "⁠venomzera⁠" Eduardo from Paquetá in October 2023, and helped the team break into the top fifty as a consistent force in CS2.

The team, however, rarely appeared on LAN and failed to qualify for the Copenhagen Major or IEM Rio 2024 which left them looking to upgrade the roster.

hardzao, who has a 1.11 rating on the new game (albeit dropping to 1.02 versus top 50 opponents), has been chosen as the casualty of that change and now must find a new side.

a not so well-known source in brazil reported yesterday that hardzaoo would be benched, the idea was move nython to rifler and +HEN1 but the negotiation cooled down because HEN1 would be signed with another team (probably fluxo). so, the speculated to replace hardzaoo is boltz

I really hope he goes to Fluxo, Art, Hen1, Lucaozy, Nicks is a great core, just need to replace chay on the long run

Like always, there it no IGL, it's better to pick up a rifle than looking for new awper and IGL.

coldzera can IGL. Not that it'd be ideal, but nython sucks bad. Actually, it's not that he sucks. He has one good game once in a blue moon and then follow that by 10 bad ones. Red should've picked art. Art + hen1 + cold + dav1deus + venomzera sounds like a great team

Well I thought he was pretty ok, but if the reports that HEN1 is coming are true, I really do feel like we get a contender for BR no.1 here, like, their biggest problem was not having a great AWPer, nython seems like a decent IGL but individually not the best, but with HEN1, I'm looking forward to seeing them, hopefully they qualify for some EU LANs so we can see coldzera again.
