HAVU have released their in-game leader and their AWPer

HAVU are down to three players after removing in-game leader Jussi "⁠Airax⁠" Airaksinen and AWPer Otto "⁠ottoNd⁠" Sihvo.

The decision was made by new coach Petteri "⁠peku⁠" Jaakkola, a former assistant coach to Slaava "⁠Twista⁠" Räsänen at Rare Atom, who assumed duties in July.

Banjo departs HAVU

HAVU added Joel "⁠Jelo⁠" Lentonen in April after the departure of Matias "⁠Banjo⁠" Kivistö, but results did not improve and the team has slumped to No. 133 in the world rankings.

"Motivation and the general picture in the performance was good before and after the summer break," peku told HAVU's website. "It's a shame that many similar mistakes were repeated in terms of gameplay, which is why the roster change had to be made.

The players in big roles did not perform well enough

"As for these player changes - one big point was the development curve of the players and its monitoring, like this with a three-month sampling. The players in big roles did not perform well enough, and the balance of the team was also a bit wrong in relation to the players."

HAVU are now on the lookout for a new IGL and sniper to add to their rifle core of:

Airax was the savior, lets see what happens without them. Sense making moves would be +S1rva +HENU now I guess. Won't bring them much higher but something at least.

They should honestly just go international at this point. If they can pay salaries big enough for Finns to live with, they surely can attract some random talents from countries with way lower average salaries

I mean, I think realistically speaking I think they could maybe get Doto back as an igl? Atleast it would be an upgrade compared to Airax. Maybe even SuNny. Its not ideal but there literally is not anyone else. For the awper I dont even know. Crazy that at one point There was Allu, Jamppi, Derke, ottoNd, Sergej, Zoree and even maybe Spargo who could all awp at decent level, and now there is literally no one except Podi who they can not get.

spargo might still be able to. one name though that instantly came to my mind was LYNXi. I think he's pretty talented with the gun and could definitely be an upgrade over current otto. but yeah pretty much all of our awp talents have either retired or moved to valorant. I might be schizo but I think I remember even saddyx being pretty okay with AWP. how the times have changed

Yeah Lynxi could be decent shout, he will not bring them to the next level tho, he could be decent on the team but if they want to compete for chance in top 30 and going to Majors they should just go international I think. I would also like if they just get some random young faceit "talent" as an AWPer. I feel like recycling 23-30 year old tier 3 payers is not going to get them anywhere. I think there is no way to build good Finnish team rn so what they should do is build young team with 1 or 2 players with tier 1-2 experience (like doto, SuNny, ZehN etc.) and hope the young players can develop that way.

If I remember correctly it was because he felt like the players did not respect his calling enough? But it was the roster with Aerial XseveN otto and Banjo so all the players would be different now. I dont remember if there was something with the org tho.

This is good move to make org better. We saw lack of motivation in ottond playing so now Havu need young talented finnish players who org can help to gain next step. It will be long process but I think it is only good option that could pay off in future.

Well, this was expected. HAVU has to do something as they are currently the only real organisation which has a full Finnish team, and this ”professional” team is not even the best in Finland. The already retired ENCE core from 2018 is currently the best Finnish team. Too bad there are no options in the Finnish player pool. As xseveN and Aerial retired and joined allu in JANO, they are now the best Finnish team, despite not even being a real organisation.

ENCE AC has quite new players with potential, and also HAVU's new guys are quite fresh. Problem maybe is that they lack experience and skill and getting to tournaments to learn seems to be hard. allu is still best player, Aerial and xseveN and smurf in eSM despite juho being there, etc. As allu said in some interview, skill is there, just need to put right 5 (excluding Aleksi, Jimpphat and podi) together and a team could work.

So funny when some people cry that allu is the reason why Finnish CS scene is dead. The reason why Finnish CS scene is dead right now is lack of ambition from some players that actually have potential, but also people forget the fact that there never was any kind of continuity. Without ENCE's academy project there wouldn't be no continuity and no development program for young players. After started their academy HENU has played in main roster and now podi.
