ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024Rooster qualify for ESL Challenger Atlanta
The Australian team will once again represent the country at an international LAN event.
Rooster have punched their ticket to ESL Challenger Atlanta after emerging on top of the four-team Oceania Closed Qualifier.
This will be the second trip abroad in 2024 for the Australian team, which attended the IEM Katowice Play-in at the end of January. Rooster have since lost star player Corey "nettik" Browne, who linked up with TALON.
Rooster had to work extremely hard to come out on top of the double-elimination qualifier. They were sent to the lower bracket in the opening round by Mindfreak, forcing them to survive two elimination series to reach the grand final against The Art of War.
With Hugo "Oath" Correia leading the charge, The Art of War won the first map of the series, Inferno, in overtime. Rooster responded with a comfortable win on Nuke before completing the reverse sweep on Mirage after overcoming a 7-1 deficit.

Rooster join fellow Australian side FlyQuest and four other squads on the team list for ESL Challenger Atlanta, which will take place from October 4-6 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The final two teams will come from the European and North American closed qualifiers, scheduled for later this month.
