BIG, Passion UA & ECLOT among teams through to Europe RMRs

Six more European sides have punched tickets to Shanghai.

The 2-1 pool matches in the closed qualifiers for the Europe RMRs have come to an end, seeing ECLOT, PARIVISION and UNiTY come through Closed Qualifier A and 9 Pandas, BIG and Passion UA through Closed Qualifier B.

BIG, the only top 20 team still trying to make it out of the qualifiers after SAW had gone 3-0, came back from a map down to beat Permitta 2-1. Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz's troops breathed a sigh of relief as the series' second map, Mirage, came down to overtime before they demolished the Polish side on Nuke.

Passion UA edged past OG in a three-map series, while 9 Pandas defeated fellow Russian side Nemiga in just two maps with a great performance from their newest signing, Evgeny "⁠r3salt⁠" Frolov, who averaged a 1.32 rating in Closed Qualifier B.

Over in the A qualifier, ECLOT were the first team to make it out of the 2-1 pool as they upset BLEED 2-1, the same scoreline by which PARIVISION beat GamerLegion.

Shortly afterward, world No.99 UNiTY beat KOI 2-1 in stunning fashion, adding to the Czech contingent in Shanghai.
