The team list for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 China RMR closed qualifier has been completed following the conclusion of the open stage.

Steel Helmet are the biggest name to make it through the qualifier despite being far from convincing. The veteran squad required three maps to overcome red demon in the lower bracket final after previously losing to Bromo.

The team, featuring veterans Ke "⁠captainMo⁠" Liu and Hui "⁠DD⁠" Wu, will be joined by XNL, Teamwork, SHPL, and Bromo in the closed qualifier. The tournament will also feature the invited trio of TYLOO, Rare Atom, and CatEvil.

The Chinese RMR closed qualifier is set to start on August 27 and will offer one spot at the Asian RMR, slated for November 11-14 in Shanghai, China.

It is shame, that china can't produce better teams and players than this. Half of teams are not even HLTV ranked. While ago it seemed that chinese CS is on the rise, than tyloo bought and kept 10 players (for whatever reason) and no one could do much since then. Meanwhile Mongolz are easily top20 team, LEL.

Bromo is actually a good team. They are unranked because HLTV doesn't cover ECL Asia's league stage. Most of professional teams like GenG, RG Qingqiu and Pero(former Sheer Conquers) were eliminated in the quarter with Bromo and Steel Helmet, very unlucky.

GenG? They have a roster in CS????

They announced it earlier this year. GenG CS is now a full Chinese roster, though they haven't really got any good results. Just in case u don't know GenG also used to have a NA roster back in 2020.

Were these teams the result of the 8000 teams that signed up? I've been OOTL about the open qualies this time around largely because the EU opens were discontinued.
