Eternal Fire make BB Dacha consolidation final over paiN

The Turkish side got the job done in two maps despite losing all four pistols.

Eternal Fire have qualified for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 consolidation final after their 2-0 win against paiN (Inferno 13-10, Anubis 13-6).

The Turkish side will now face off against MOUZ, with the winner of the match earning a best-of-five clash against Spirit in the grand final.

"For sure we're gonna play Nuke," said a smiling Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli about the upcoming clash. "I'm gonna prepare for that and the veto, and if we play like we played today and yesterday, we are able to beat MOUZ."

On the other side of the server, paiN are eliminated after a spirited third-place finish. "We won every pistol, but we didn't feel like ourselves," began paiN's coach Henrique "⁠rikz⁠" Waku. "We can leave [the tournament] happy, but this wasn't our goal. We wanted to be champions because I think we have what it takes to do that."

The series began on Inferno, where slow starts to both halves gave Eternal Fire a mountain to climb. MAJ3R and company passed the test with aplomb, however, as they negated two 0-3 starts to win the map 13-10 and take the lead in the series.

Next up was Anubis, where paiN once again got a 3-0 start, only for Eternal Fire to dominate the first half and go 8-4 up. The second-half pistol also went the way of paiN, but the Brazilians couldn't convert it this time around, which meant the Turkish side cruised to a 13-6 victory and qualified for the consolidation final.
