Berlin to host Thunderpick World Championship LAN finals
Falcons, HEROIC, fnatic and BIG have received direct invites to the online portion of the event.

GRID Esports has unveiled Berlin as the location for the LAN portion of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, which will take place November 2-3 and feature a $850,000 prize pool.
16 teams will first compete in the Online Stage from October 21-26, where a single-elimination BO3 bracket will determine the four teams that will progress to the LAN finals. The same format will be used for the LAN finals, with a third-place decider match set to take place.
Six squads have already qualified for Thunderpick World Championship 2024, namely Cloud9 and BLEED from Europe's qualifiers, Legacy and M80 from North America's qualifiers, and BESTIA and Imperial from South America's qualifiers. They will be joined by a further 10 invited teams, the first four of which are Falcons, HEROIC, fnatic and BIG.
Thunderpick World Championship 2024 will be the second edition of the event, with FaZe battling through last year's entirely online iteration to grab the title and the $250,000 top prize. The prize pool has grown this year, with $500,000 set aside for the winner.
The 10 teams currently lined up to compete are as follows:
