GamerLegion bench aNdu ahead of EU RMR

Coach ash says the team is seeking a replacement who "matches the mentality and ideology of the rest of our players."

Andreas "⁠aNdu⁠" Maasing has been moved to GamerLegion's bench and is available for transfer, the German organization has announced.

"Andreas is an outstanding individual with a huge heart and a massive determination to prove himself", head coach Ashley "⁠ash⁠" Battye said in a comment to HLTV.

"This is not a decision that we have taken lightly and with the CS landscape changing next year we feel we need to find someone who matches the mentality and ideology of the rest of our players."

aNdu posted a statement of his own on X, reading, "I am looking for a new full-time team. I see myself as an aggressive player. The time I played anchor or lurk positions in GL for the first time in my career I gained a lot more experience so I can be flexible."

The Estonian rifler impressed upon his promotion from GL Academy in March, earning praise from pundits like Lucas "⁠Bubzkji⁠" Andersen for his performance in tricky positions. He was even confirmed as a permanent addition to the roster in July after a successful trial period.

aNdu has found it more difficult as of late, dropping from a 1.11 rating in his first three months to a 1.05 since, but the move still comes as a shock: A talent seemingly set for bigger things has received the first setback of his career.

The move also puts GamerLegion in an increasingly large pool of teams making changes immediately before the Shanghai RMR. With less than two months to go, the team does not have much time to get a new recruit integrated before the most important event of their year.
