huNter- on Snax: "When he focuses more on himself, we'll get a really good player"
"It's tough for him to focus on himself, and that's why his numbers are not the best, but he will get there," the Bosnian rifler added.

G2 went for a left-field restructuring during the summer, adding Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski in place of Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen.
While the team is yet to claim a title, they have put up some impressive performances and finished 2nd at the Esports World Cup and made the semis at ESL Pro League S20.
After their opening win against FaZe at the BLAST Fall Final, Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač spoke to HLTV about Snax's adaptation to the team, the series against Finn "karrigan" Andersen's troops, and G2's individual form.

Congrats on the win. It was an impressive comeback from 4-8 down. How do you feel about the series in general?
I feel good. Overall, I'm happy with the way we played and especially how we bounced back after Inferno. Even though we threw some rounds on the CT side, I think the way we played the Mirage T side is the way we should look overall on our T sides. And on CT, we just need to fix some mistakes, I think mainly individually, and we'll feel much more comfortable.
This was your fourth straight win against FaZe. Do you have anything special prepared for them?
The way they are playing is kind of the way that we are playing, and if individuals are stepping up, the team that is better individually will win the game. Lately, we are stronger individually, and FaZe are struggling a bit. That's why they are not on the level where they want to be, but they have great players and a great team. I think they will come back to their level soon.
You mentioned your individuals. Snax is maybe the only one that doesn't have standout performances, but all four of you are seemingly on top form. How much easier is it to play when four players on the team are hitting insane shots?
Of course, it's easier. Even if you lose an entry or if you are 3v5, 4v5, or whatever, you can always trust that your boys can do something. You are not even afraid to die sometimes because you know you have a lot of strong players behind your back, who can clutch and win unwinnable situations.
But Snax is doing a lot of things to help us be better as a team now because we are still kind of a new team, we have been together for about three months. For now, he is trying to help us be better as a team and be on the level where he wants us to be, so he can have an easier time calling.
When he focuses more on himself individually, I think we'll get a really good player, like he was on Mirage T side today. That's a real example of how he should play. We are going in that direction slowly but surely and progress is visible, and that's the most important thing for me.
Talking about Snax's calling. m0NESY said at EPL that you guys are trying to keep it simple. Can you shed some light on that comment?
It's tough to do all three steps very well at the start when you're a new team. So, to be good at anti-push, to be good at retaking areas or taking areas, and to be good at finishes. I think now we are good at the first step, and the second step is getting better. We just need the third step to be a bit better.
Today on Mirage we did amazing with finishes, like Short and Connector especially, splitting them on A and B, and I think we are getting there. We just need more time and I think we'll be ready to lift some trophies.
Another component of this new team is obviously TaZ. Recently, the community was a bit critical about his impact on the server, and it's very hard to see what coaches do from the outside. What would you say TaZ brings to the table?
First of all, I don't really care what people are writing, I'm not even reading anything. I just care about my teammates and what they will say about us. But I think TaZ is trying his best to help everybody, and as I already mentioned, Snax is trying to help us to be better as a team. It's tough for him to focus on himself, and that's why his numbers are not the best, but he will get there.
TaZ is helping everybody, especially on the CT side. He is trying to help us be better for now, and Snax is doing his things on the T side. They are kind of mixing it up, but if we get to the point where they can do 50-50 on both sides together, I think we will be where we want to be. We are all really giving our best to be better as a team and working very hard individually to be in good shape all the time.
