Final teams confirmed for BLAST World Final

The $1,000,000 tournament will feature seven of the current top 10 teams.

The last two iterations of World Final were held in Abu Dhabi, but this year the competition moves to Singapore

Due to the results that have already come through at the ongoing BLAST Premier Fall Final, the team list for World Final has now been finalized.

BLAST's season-ending tournament, which is set to take place in Singapore from October 30-November 3, will feature seven of the teams currently occupying the top 10 spots of HLTV's world ranking as G2, MOUZ, FaZe, Liquid, and Astralis have all secured berths via their position on the BLAST Premier Leaderboard. They join Spirit, Vitality and Natus Vincere at the event.

Natus Vincere, Vitality and Spirit had already confirmed their attendance in Singapore by winning PGL Major Copenhagen, IEM Cologne and IEM Katowice respectively. A fourth spot should have gone to the winners of Fall Final, but due to the results from the group stage of that tournament and their effect on the BLAST Premier Leaderboard, the team list is set regardless of who emerges victorious.

Virtus.pro narrowly missed out on a spot at World Final, their inability to qualify for Fall Final ensuring their absence, whilst Falcons could have secured a spot had they made a deep playoff run at Fall Final and other results went their way. Mouz deserve to be there despite their bad form, they're the highest ranked non partner team. Meanwhile Astralis gets more than 50% of their points from Blast groups

I'm totally with you personally. But if I were blast, I would do the same, ranking own events higher. If not, the teams have lesser incentive to take part in the previous blast events

But the teams partner with blast are forced to play anyway and for anyone else its it 1 spot after 9 quals so nobody has a chance anyway. And for 2025, the more scum the TO is the less teams is can attract. But sure i get why they do it, same for esl and their ranking. But this is just to much..

Not to mention a blast partner getting eliminated from groups can farm more points in showdown Also winning EPL S20 is equal to winning a blast group (both worth 2400 except, 3 teams get 2400 in blast groups)

EF didn't win EPL and Liquid had recently consistent performances gathering points. Even probably from BLAST groups after beating NaVi

problem is that BLAST quals then the Groups + Finals are very vital to having the most points for BLAST World Finals. You won't reach them off ESL purely and everyone knows that. as for Liquid they gained 600 points off the Fall Finals already due to Quarters which cemented them getting the spot

ESL at least has a lot of events, where if you dont qualify to any, ur basically not that good But qualifying to BLAST as a non partnered team is very hard, you play qualifier after qualify only for 1 spot, but partner teams are very very favored to qualify

That's correct for this year, where they got second place at the Copenhagen major and Katowice. But it isn't guaranteed that they will be top 8 next year if their form remains poor.

They are farming points right now so they will have enough ranking points when the year starts. That means they will keep getting invitations and as long as they play T1 events they will be fine. All you have to do is just keep playing. I don't know why you're not getting this

I'm not saying they won't get ranking points, I'm pointing out that BLAST's replacement for their Premier events are only going to invite the top 8 teams: liquipedia.net/counterstrike/BLAST/Rival.. Teams like Astralis will have a hard time being ranked high enough to get one of the 8 invites.

There will be lots of other events to play. And none of the tier teams currently are in perfect shape except NaVi & Vitality. Astralis won't have a problem staying competitive.

And that's where we disagree, I think that there is a chance that Astralis will have a problem staying competitive enough. Of course they could surprise me or there could be future roster moves that make them more competitive. Nothing about it is really set in stone. Whatever happens though, it will have to be earned on merit from them and not because they are a partner team.

I don't like the scummy things Astralis management does but I'm not going to sit and imagine the team will be complete bums, especially now that they have an IGL, device AWPing and three good riflers. I'm just not that delusional. Every team in the top 10 currently except NaVi & Vitality are weak asf. There's no reason to believe Astralis won't be in the top 10.

Blast format is changing in 2025 and events will have a totally different name. This is the last fall final. The equivalent is call Blast Open and will take place in Lisbon & London next year.
