vilga's addition to NIP Impact has paid off with a Finals appearance

Imperial Valkyries, NIP Impact, FURIA fe, Fluxo Demons, and FlyQuest RED have locked in spots at ESL Impact League Season 6 Finals after topping their groups in the online regional stage.

Reigning champions Imperial Valkyries dropped just one map to BIG EQUIPA in Europe's Group A en route to a first-place finish, but were still made to work for their other victories as they scraped wins against HSG fe and dream catchers fe.

NIP Impact locked in a direct berth to the finals through Group B with a 4-0 record, dropping two maps on the way but securing a win over NAVI Javelins to come out ahead in any tiebreaker scenario.

The qualification to the League's LAN final is NIP Impact's first since entering the women's Counter-Strike scene in Season 2, and comes after the team added Ksenia "⁠vilga⁠" Kluenkova in July.

Three final spots at the Final remain up for grabs in Europe, determined by a Play-in between the second and third-placed teams from each group and a fifth-place decider between the losers of the Play-in.

The two South American attendees have also been finalized with FURIA fe and Fluxo Demons romping undefeated through the round-robin group stage, with just one another left to face. The former didn't drop a map over six series and recently won Gamers Club Women Super Cup 2024 over MIBR fe.

FlyQuest RED are also locked in as the sole North American representatives after a 6-0 run through their group stage, with only an inconsequential series against Aware fe left to play.

Slot distribution is so bad now. Not Asia/Rest of the world, five spots for Europe, for some reason NA and SA rotate three spots. SA is just as good as Europe so I really don't get why they don't have at least two guaranteed and then a potential 3rd every other event.

While I agree no slot for ASIA is weird, SA is definetely not aw good as Europe. Should still have 2 guarenteed bcus one slot for NA is enough

I think it's fair tbh, FURIA and Fluxo Demons are on the same level, or atleast close to the best teams in Europe, but other teams from SA are far away. If Na'Vi, BIG and dreamcatchers/let her cook will make it through, we gonna have, probably the most stacked Impact finals ever with the best 8 teams competing.

I think 3 for SA and 3/4 for EU is fair. It allows the two big teams from SA to make it plus a wildcard team like MIBR fe or Atrix which have had close games with Fluxo and Furia. Ideally though they'd expand to 12 teams But getting rid of Asia's spot after HSG got multiple playoff finishes was actually ridiculous

> But getting rid of Asia's spot after HSG got multiple playoff finishes was actually ridiculous Sure but as we can see, they probably wont even qualify for the play-in, IN online quals, so I guess thats a statement on how Asia is too weak to merit a single slot :/ In my opinion, the finals should have 12 teams attending: 4 from EU, 3 from NA, 3 from SA and 2 from Asia/Oceania (Yeah The Girls). That would be awesome to see

This tournament need 12 team and minimum 2 slot for each region. If you want your region get 3 zlof your region need perform at ESL impact league.

Next impact 12 teams, have ASIA/Rest of the world at least 1 spot. then 2 NA, 3 SA, 6 Europe? as region skill goes i think it's probably fair like that.

Can't say I disagree with 6 EU slots being deserved skillwise but that would get boring very fast. It would just be be EU vs EU again on finals, repeating online Quals match ups over and over again. For finals I would prefer to have like #15 said, to keep the finals more interesting with match ups that you never see during the online season.
