TALON upset FlyQuest as Asia RMR day 1 ends

Second seed FlyQuest find themselves on the brink of elimination in Shanghai.

Day one of the Asia RMR has come to a close, with Rare Atom and TALON being one win away from the Shanghai Major after coming through the opening round.

Rare Atom made light work of GR in a one-sided Anubis game. The Russian Far East side were on the back foot from the start and couldn't even get a single T round against YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai's troops.

The other game proved far more competitive as FlyQuest and TALON fought tooth-and-nail in an Oceanic derby on Inferno. Aaron "⁠AZR⁠" Ward's troops, ranked 167th in the world, overcame a slow start to bring the scoreline to 6-6 and then took control of proceedings on the T side, dealing a deadly blow to FlyQuest in the 18th round with a successful eco.
