Shanghai Major EU RMR B day 2 match-ups set

G2 is the biggest name in the 2-0 pool, which also includes 3DMAX, Passion UA, and BIG.

G2 narrowly avoided a comeback upset from 9 Pandas to go 2-0

If the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR A went mostly as expected, the B group is the complete opposite as G2 are the only team out of the group's favorites to make it to the 2-0 pool.

Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač and company will face 3DMAX for a spot in the Elimination stage. The Frenchmen defeated Eternal Fire in an overtime bout to secure the spot after edging TSM in their opener.

The other match that will give a team a direct berth to the Elimination stage is a shocking Passion UA vs. BIG. The former defeated Spirit in the 1-0 pool, whereas BIG did so after ending HEROIC's eight-game winning streak on Ancient.

Two Russian derbies will take place in the 1-1 pool at 05:00 : Spirit vs. Aurora and Virtus.pro vs. 9 Pandas. HEROIC and Ninjas in Pyjamas will also face off in the 1-1 pool, as will Eternal Fire and Sashi.

The first elimination matches will also take place in the 0-2 pool, where TSM will face PARIVISION and Astralis, who are missing star AWPer Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz, will go up against Andrii "⁠npl⁠" Kukharskyi and Daniil "⁠headtr1ck⁠" Valitov's B8.
