NRG sign Jeorge, bench autimatic

One of North Americas brightest prospects is linking up with NRG.

Jeorge was once described as "an NA ropz" by former Nouns coach SEMPHIS

NRG have announced the addition of Jeorge "⁠Jeorge⁠" Endicott in place of Timothy "⁠autimatic⁠" Ta, who has been moved to the bench.

Jeorge joins having spent the past year playing for Nouns, with whom he attended the Americas RMR for PGL Major Copenhagen and Perfect World Shanghai Major, failing to qualify in either instance. The 21-year-old was Nouns' highest-rated player over 2024, posting a 1.18 rating.

"Thanks for the opportunity NRG," Jeorge said on X after the move was announced. "Can't wait to get in the server!"

autimatic meanwhile stated "I haven't been playing my best since CS2 came out and reflected a lot as to why. Shame that this decision came before I was able to put my realizations into practice."

NRG have struggled for results ever since re-entering CS late in 2023, including repeated failures to qualify for Majors. During that time they have undergone a string of roster changes in the search for the right constellation of players, the latest of which saw storied IGL Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella join the team in July.

Results saw a modest uptick with the arrival of nitr0 but still the team failed to qualify for any LAN events, bar ESL Pro League Season 21, notably missing Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR after losses to Nouns and Legacy in the closed qualifier.

The sample size between their matches are small M80 is good, but Nrg was always supposed to be better, like look at the names in the roster, canella, josh, hext, and jeorge, that's colossal firepower

Supposed to be better vs whos actually better. I want NRG to do well and if they become rivals to M80 thats amazing and id love that, but right now they are not on the same level.

Their head to head is about 60-40 rn which I think was insanely lucky. I don't think it's crazy to say this move puts them at 60-40 odds for real. Especially since nouns gave both teams trouble and Jeorge IS Nouns

The issue is the only wins NRG have gotten over M80 was a split 1-1 in an ecl BO2 which most teams dont give a damn about and the only legit win was in Ace North American Masters. NRG can take maps off m80 but wins and consistent wins against them do not happen.

Yeah fair, remains to be seen how he fits in, but I have high hopes that this pushes them over the edge to get out of NA hell and start winning important qualifiers at least

Yeah, a lot of NA prodigies switch to Valorant since its hard to make money playing in the NA scene for tier 2-3 teams. Even though they are they same caliber as tier 2-3 European teams, there just aren't a lot of NA tournaments to make money from. So a lot of players switch to Valorant instead of waiting to be called up to tier 1.
