Imperial fe and FURIA fe make ESL Impact Finals playoffs

Meanwhile K27 fe exited the tournament in last place.

The first day of ESL Impact League Season 6 Finals has drawn to a close in Stockholm, Sweden, with six BO1s and a single series having taken place. FURIA fe and Imperial Valkyries sealed their spots in the playoffs with back-to-back BO1 wins, whilst K27 fe became the first team to exit the event.

Group A saw Imperial Valkyries claim the top spot by first taking down rivals NAVI Javelins on Nuke thanks to an imperious CT side, before an impressive 1.70-rated Zainab "⁠zAAz⁠" Turkie performance guided them to a hard-fought victory against Fluxo Demons on Ancient.

Over in Group B FURIA fe earned top billing by grabbing smooth victories over K27 fe and BIG EQUIPA on Anubis and Nuke. The duo of Izabella "⁠izaa⁠" Galle and Karina "⁠kaahSENSEI⁠" Takahashi were the shining stars for the Brazilians, ending the day with 1.52 and 1.33 ratings respectively.

Group B also saw the first elimination of the tournament, with K27 fe bowing out at the hands of NIP Impact. NIP Impact's offensive half proved too much for K27 fe on Mirage, consigning the Russians to a 5-13 loss after a close first half, before NIP's defense got the job done on Inferno.

Kiara "⁠Qiyarah⁠" Janssen was the star of this series, keeping her team in the tournament by dropping nearly 40 frags and just shy of 90 ADR across two maps.

Series play continues for the rest of ESL Impact Finals, with three BO3s on the docket for tomorrow. First up is an elimination game, where NAVI Javelins will battle for their tournament lives against FlyQuest RED. The final two games will decide the remaining playoff spots, with BIG EQUIPA taking on NIP Impact whilst Fluxo Demons await the winner of NAVI Javelins vs. FlyQuest RED.
