Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Europe RMR BHEROIC through to Shanghai Major over Passion UA
The young Ukrainian squad started brightly but faded as the series went on.
HEROIC have booked a spot in the Perfect World Shanghai Major after beating Passion UA in three maps in the EU RMR B's 2-1 pool. Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski's troops had to come back from a map down after being upset on their own pick, with Guy "NertZ" Iluz and René "TeSeS" Madsen powering the team to convincing wins on Vertigo and Mirage.
"They showed some interesting things," Abdul "degster" Gasanov said after the match. "It's always better to see your mistakes before elimination games."

Passion UA came out guns blazing as they romped to a commanding 10-2 lead on the CT side of Ancient, HEROIC's map pick. The Ukrainians piled more misery on their opponents after losing the pistol round as Dmytro "jambo" Semera picked up a stunning ace with nothing but a Desert Eagle.
The international team refused to throw in the towel and began to mount a comeback, oftentimes taking the fight to their opponents and pushing for map control, but with kyxsan and NertZ the only players who could offer any threat, the deficit proved insurmountable.
Vertigo quickly became a highlight reel as players on both teams produced moments of entertainment. TeSeS and Rasmus "sjuush" Beck both had aces, and there was a 2v4 clutch from Passion UA in a thoroughly entertaining first half that ended with an 8-4 lead for the international team.
Passion UA kept themselves in the game with a clean pistol round win, but their comeback hopes were immediately crushed as HEROIC took control of the game and rallied to a comfortable win.
Rodion "fear" Smyk's charges jumped out to an early lead on Mirage, but HEROIC began to dictate the pace once they had guns to work with and racked up eight rounds on the offense.
Passion UA were then dealt a crushing blow as TeSeS single-handedly clutched the pistol round for his team with a timely kill onto the player planting the bomb. Down 11-4, the Ukrainian team made a late comeback effort, but there was no stopping HEROIC in this series.
