Imperial fe end the year on a high note

Imperial Valkyries have made it eight ESL Impact LAN titles in a row after defeating FURIA fe 2-1 in the grand final of the Season 6 Finals, held in Stockholm.

Victoria "⁠tory⁠" Kazieva's charges went unbeaten in the Swedish capital en route to the title, the second they have won under Imperial Valkyries after joining the Brazilian organization in May.

Without surprise, Ana "⁠ANa⁠" Dumbravă, the recipient of the 2022 and 2023 Women's Player of the Year awards, posted a tournament-high 1.34 rating, even though she had a relatively quiet performance in the grand final, where tory and Katarína "⁠Kat⁠" Vašková led the charge for the team.

The LAN event was head coach Kamen "⁠bubble⁠" Kostadinov's first tournament with Imperial Valkyries after the Bulgarian took over from Reinis "⁠hyskeee⁠" Grīnbergs at the start of the month.

Imperial topped their group in Stockholm after best-of-one wins over NAVI Javelins and Fluxo Demons before beating BIG EQUIPA 2-1 in a series that was much more one-sided than the scoreline might indicate. It was only in the grand final that they were properly tested as FURIA fe proved a stubborn opponent.

The Brazilian team, who missed out on qualification for the Dallas Finals six months ago, drew first blood in the series and recovered from a 0-7 start on the second map before failing at the final hurdle. On Dust2, Imperial Valkyries's superior experience was again a key factor as they won an eco round at 8-7 courtesy of a quad-kill by Alexandra "⁠twenty3⁠" Timonina and then ran away with the game.

"FURIA played amazingly," Kat said after the final. "It was a hard match. It was very nice to play. It was very competitive. We really enjoyed and put everything into these games."

BIG got them sweating, Furia made them shake, hopefully meaning that soon their dominance is coming to an end. They don't look as fireproof as before that's certain

too bad for Big Equipa 3rd map against Imperial. NT zana & goat juliano and feels sad for navi, adding d7 and astra was fire but it seems it's not clicking yet.

When you see that there's 1 girl for every 10000 dudes playing at this game, you will gain more respecc for the level of CS that esl impact has been bringing. If there was many girls as many dudes playing, it's pretty obvious they would have tier 1 talents easily.

imo because they compare their own level to the level of the girls playing, not realizing that if they were born girls, there would be a 99.9% chance of them not ever even knowing what HLTV is So any girl playing at esl impact is a rare talent within the potencial playerbase for women players, as any tier 1 player is a unique rare player within the total playerbase It's probably more complex than this
