Matchups set for second day of Shanghai Major

The first eliminations and progressions of the Major will be decided on day two.

The first day of Perfect World Shanghai Major Opening Stage has drawn to a close, with a raft of upsets and shocks leading to some memorable stories emerging.

FlyQuest, a popular 0-3 pick among the Pick'Ems, were perhaps the surprise of the opening day, grabbing convincing wins over BIG and Complexity to set themselves up for qualification.

Another positive surprise was GamerLegion's youthful side, who continued the form that saw them go from 0-2 to 4-2 at the RMR, taking down higher-ranked sides FURIA and paiN to earn a spot in the 2-0 pool.

On the other end of the spectrum Complexity slumped to defeats at the hands of FlyQuest and Passion UA, leaving themselves staring in the face of early elimination.

With today's results come tomorrow's matchups, when the day will kick off with a raft of BO1s between the teams with 1-1 records before series play takes over. The highlight fixture of tomorrow sees Complexity take on Imperial in an all-Americas matchup that will see the loser take an early flight home.
